Calling All Gardeners

Is this a plant or just a weed?

  1. It's a weed. Red Clover. It gets a purplish red flower on it that bees love. Here's a link to a picture of it for comparison. http://www.ppws.vt.edu/scott/weed_id/trfpr.htm

    1. Darn. I was hoping it would be some prized flower.

As to your multiple postings, that's the joy of a beta program

  2. Hey Erica, What do you mean by calling this a weed? I used to pick these by the handful when I was little. Mom took every bunch I gave her and put them in a pretty little green juice glass and told me they were so pretty. Now that I think about it, she did that with the dandelions I have her too. I have that juice glass on my window sill now. Wish I had some of those flowers to put in it again.

  7. A weed is only a plant in the wrong place! If you like it then give it chance to flower, the bees love the blooms.
This is the plant you can get the 'Lucky' four leaf clovers from. I have a major collection of these, my record being a 7 leaf clover.
