How Does Your Garden Grow?

We were in Pennsylvania for Christmas  and the weather there was cold, grey, and rain. So I was happy to see the sunrise on Saturday morning. The light was just beautiful.

though these photos don't really capture

how mesmerizing the sky was.

No birds or critters at the feeder. No snow, either.

Out with the old garden flag

In with the new.

It was so nice to see the sun.

and I wouldn't mind if temperatures stayed this mild all through the Winter.

How does your garden grow?

  1. I wouldn't mind the 40's either-especially with no threat of snow. Today we're back into the cold. Brrrr. I saw some snow flake son my phone's forecast for later in the week too. Seems like we've had a lot of winter already when some years it doesn't even start until January. Happy new week. Enjoy the rest 2018. Hugs-Erika

    1. Yeah, I heard on the news some snow showers are predicted for today. Is it July, yet?

  3. We had those temps last week, then the bottom fell out and it is now in the low teens. High today MAY get to 28 F and that is real, not wind chill temps. We had rain a few days ago, now there is ICE on the ground and in the ditches and curbs. Haven't had snow in a month, but I'd take that over a sheet of ice. Western KS had snow up to 28 inches on Friday. Bet you are glad you didn't have to shovel THAT!! It looks so much better at your place than mine.

    1. Brrrrr. We heard parts of the mid-West got slammed with snow. I'm glad no snow and like you would choose snow over ice if I had to. Stay safe.

  4. It's been unseasonably warm here, with highs into the 60s! I've been trying new feed to see if I can attract a wider variety of birds, and I'm surprised at how much of the product is food the birds won't eat lol My last bag has a lot of raisins in it, and even the chipmunks won't eat that *sigh* My hubby got a Christmas banner and banner hanger this year, and I'm looking at your seasonal flags with new interest. Changing them will be fun, I think :)

I think your sky photos -especially that last one- show a mesmerizing sky! Those stark trees against that gorgeous color! Nice!

    1. The birds in my garden won't eat seed with millet. I never have a problem with the fruit and seed variety. All the critters seem to like that one.

I enjoy changing the garden flags. I have them for every holiday/month Found bargain prices at Discount Decorative Flags. They have tons of themes and the quality is excellent. https://www.discountdecorativeflags.com/

    1. We had such a rainy Summer, and Fall. I could do without the rain, but it's better than snow!
