A couple of new, crisp garden kites.
The TARDIS coated with pollen. Achoo!
Queen Ann's lace
Now what the hell did she buy?
The snowball bushes have avalanched. When these bushes bloomed they were laden with bees. Not a single bee buzzing around.
The garden kites weathered well in this week's wind and rain
The squirrel hasn't disturbed the stone towers.
The honeysuckle vine ready to burst. When it does, it will look like it's on fire.
The squash needs to be replanted.
A new garden flag for the Zensical garden
An inch or so of rain for this week's rain total. The pill bottle worked
The mountain laurel doesn't look that great overall, but it bloomed.
Himself moved the squash moved to its own trough. Hopefully, it will survive the transplant
I filled the feeder and threw some seed on the ground. The cardinal showed up for dinner.
How does your garden grow?
It is looking fabulous CJ and I love your kites. Nice job! I was just looking back on my blog to see the changes over the last month and it has really gotten green and lush hasn't it? Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWith all the rain we've been having things have gone from lush to jungle :-D
DeleteThe garden kites are wondrous as is the rest of your lovely garden.
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to the HH.
Thanks, Sandra
DeleteEverything is blooming! How nice! (And I want to know what's in that box!!!!!????) ;)
ReplyDeleteFriday =^,.^=
DeleteYour honeysuckle is amazing! I had to take my peanut chip feeder down, as the squirrels finally figured out how to get to it *sigh* That leaves a single feeder they haven't gotten to yet, and it's adjustable so maybe it'll be safe. The cardinals are such a bright spot, aren't they!
ReplyDeleteI don't worry if the squirrels or chipmunks get at the feeders. May it's an Italian thing. Abbondanza! Everybody eats. The cardinals this season seem to be shy. I don't always see them, but I can hear them. They always bring a smile when they show up.
DeleteIt was different when we had more space -an actual yard, but the squirrels will overwhelm our little patio if we let them. And the feeder is so close to the house they tend to then try to get into attics to nest. Everybody eats, that's true, but there's just not enough room for everybody to eat _here_ ;)
DeleteThey can be quite pesty and do a lot of damage if they get inside the house.
DeleteLovely garden kites. (Teddy said to tell you he likes the one with the bear on it.) My car had pollen like that on it. Then the rain washed it down onto the sides, leaving a streaky mess. Your garden plants look great. Honeysuckle smells heavenly. How do you keep the animals from eating your squash? Yesterday I saw the male and female Cardinal in my bird feeder at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe vegetables are in a metal horse trough that rests on top of saw horses. Himself has also put mesh wire around the troughs. The troughs are outside the sun room windows and we're always in the sun room so perhaps the proximity to the house and the noise we make going in and out or the television may keep the critters away.
DeleteImpressive flags. Your squash looks healthy. Hope it stays that way. Hope your husband had a great Father's Day.
ReplyDeleteHe had a good day. Text from the Eldest, watched the baseball game, took a nap, had a nice pot roast dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert.
DeleteWhat a cool idea - garden kites - Love it! So...what did she buy - ..I'm curious. Your garden looks good.
ReplyDeleteYou'll find out on Friday
DeleteI do like your garden kites, and your honeysuckle looks brilliant.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
And the vine smells so beautiful, too.
