T Stands for A Weird Phenomenon

So a very weird thing started happening to me. Now weird things happening to me are not new. Like I've been known to stop clocks. When we were first married, Himself gave me a beautiful moon phase watch. After wearing it a couple of days, it stopped working. He took it to the jeweler and they tested the battery which was still fully charged. The jeweler reset the watch. Again, after wearing the watch for a couple of days, the watch stopped. This time a new battery was inserted. Rinse and repeat.

Himself bought a second moon phase watch. Same results. Only this time, Himself told me if I wanted a watch I had to buy it myself.

So apparently, I give off  a weird magnetic field and now

it's effecting the microwave. Here's a video of Monet enjoying a teacup ride in the microwave. You'll notice the microwave door is open and the microwave is off. Note the 0:00 in the digital timer display. Also note that Monet is not being fried to a crisp as the turntable goes around. No Monets were harmed in the making of this video.

When the door is closed the turntable stops. If Himself opens the door, the turntable does not immediately start to spin. It only happens when I open the door to the microwave.

Now, this would be a pretty cool super power to have, effecting electronics, if I could figure out how to control the power.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. How strange indeed..except that I too could never keep a watch going, fortunately my Fitbit watch has been fine!
I often set off shop door alarms - going in and going out and have seen folk being stopped occasionally as they were leaving while I entered! NOONOONOO!!!!!! Happy T Day, Chrisx

  2. My eldest daughter used to have a similar effect on watches. I think it's ceased now. The microwave phenomenon is strange, though. Can you use your powers to remotely control devices, too? Just think what fun you could have.

  3. That is weird. I've heard of people who can't wear watched because they won't run, but that microwave spinning is so freaky. Maybe you have a ghost that is using you as it's energy now. But strange about the microwave. Have ha but the teacup spinning around is pretty fun. Happy T day. Enjoy the day.

  4. Ah, the dreaded "Electronic Twilight Zone". My mother suffered from this (and as I age it's becoming apparent I inherited the gene.....) Husband, on the other hand, has the exact opposite effect on electronics. When I complain that something isn't working properly all he has to do is come into the room said device is in and it immediately snaps to attention and works perfectly! Go figure.....LOL.

  7. Oh that is scary! It could be a good super power to have if you could control it....
I have no problem with watches but I went through four Fitbits. I got a new one each time as it would happen within the guarantee period. When the fourth one went wrong i gave up.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

    1. I finally got a wristwatch that doesn't run on batteries but powered by light. It keeps great time, but the band broke. Can't win
