How Does Your Garden Grow?

The weather was chilly with a lot of snow still on the ground. The snow didn't stop the finches from visiting the birdfeeder.

Michael's didn't have a large selection of garden flags, but this one will do.

Coming home from shopping, the strand of lights around the Zensical garden decided to glow.

This month's Blue Moon through the trees setting in the early morning hours.

The little, red squirrel has figured out if he sits on the metal edge, he can stuff himself silly with birdseed. If he sits on the wood perch, his weight will close the hatch. Cheeky, little beggar had a party for himself.

Some warmer temperatures and the high angle of the sun has melted most of the snow cover. The daffodils are coming up.

Some crocus are ready to bloom.

Someone has been digging holes.

No snow on the Zensical Garden. Almost time to bring out the garden toys.

Looks like the highway department is creating a new roadway.

Still a little snow left in the backyard.

  1. Your garden still looks pretty. Love the lights and the flag. The only things that has survived on my balcony is the variegated clover, but I'm not planting anything new till I'm certain it will be able to survive! Love the cheeky red squirrel! Clever little chap. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

    1. We have to wait for yard work, too, as the weather dudes are predicting a little snow for tomorrow.

  2. Good morning, today we are cold and a wintry mix is coming in-hoping not too much ice to cause troubles.
squirrels are so intelligent aren't they? I remember when my Mom was still with us she thought she would out smart her squirrels by buying a very expensive feeder that promised to keep the squirrels out-wrong lol they are too smart.
Our daffodil are still blooming here and more green grass as well but this freeze today will hurt the blooming trees for sure

    1. My friend uses as Slinky spring toy attached to the pole of her feeders. The squirrels can't climb the pole. Kinda funny to watch them boing around. Me, I don't mind the squirrels. Must be an Italian thing. Abbondanza. Everybody eats!

  3. Happy Easter. Your garden looks better than mine. We had a hard freeze last night and my hyacinths are now worse for wear. Another hard freeze expected tomorrow night, too. So your garden is doing much better than mine.

  5. Looks like you're getting some good melt like we are. Yahoo! I don't exactly know why my backyard is the only thing not to have melted though-which we have some theories about but it needs to turn brown and gross. But brown and gross means soon it will be green and pretty. You must be happy about your melt. Hope everyone enjoys your egg bread and you have a wonderful easter CJ. Hugs-Erika

    2. We had a MAJOR wind storm yesterday! Trees down everywhere and garbage flying around. Some people even lost their roofs. Lucky we were fine! Glad you didn't lose your flag!
