Five good things that happened this week.
1. Had our annual lunch at Legal Seafood with my cousin.
2. Met the new neighbors two doors up the street. They are a very nice, young couple.
3. Won some stickers from Magic Love Crow . Looking forward to fun mail.
4. I've been looking for cinnamon chips forever. On the way home from the train station, I stopped at Goretti's (small grocery store). For chuckles, I browsed the baking aisle. Goretti's had 4 bags of cinnamon chips left on the shelf. Greedy guts, I bought all 4 bags. Score!
5. Himself brought mums home for the front yard. Guess he didn't like my Morticia Petunias (i.e. dead flowers)
How was your week?
Sounds like a good week. Hmm, I would have bought all 4 bags, too, those cookie look delicious. Enjoy the mums in your garden, they're the only flowers I have on my balcony just now. Have a good weekend, Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThey do look nicer than dead petunias :-D
DeleteThanks for making me smile today with your post and your comment about Morticia petunias ...so funny ...lol 😁. What a great week you've had and my hubby loves cinnamon chips in the banana bread I make, we can't get them here only in America so I would have bought all 4 bags too ...lol 😁 - now you have me wondering what you plan to bake with yours? How exciting to win those stickers, I hope you show us when you receive them 😁. We've had a busy week too - afternoon tea with the Mayor in recognition for our voluntary work, showing colleagues how to use WordPress, Beachcare, and meeting up with friends. I even have a fun day planned as today is my dad's birthday so I'm taking my mum and dad out for lunch 😁. Wishing you a very Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI bought them to make a cereal snack mix (like gorp). My tablemate in Reggie's class is fond of it, and she was disappointed when I didn't bring it in (everyone in class brings a snack to share). I also like the cinnamon chips in scones.
DeleteYou had a wonderful week. Congratulations for being recognized for your voluntary work. Enjoy your outing with your folks. Happy Birthday to your dad.
Thanks so much! We had a great time and my dad thanks you for the birthday wishes 😁. J x
DeleteThat's a good week. I wonder why cinnamon chips are so hard to find. I have a hard time finding them too. That was a great score!
ReplyDeleteI thought with the Fall season, they would be in abundance.
DeleteI've never heard of cinnamon chips before. It must be an east coast thing that hasn't made it to the midwest yet. I LOVE cinnamon and would have grabbed them up, too.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful. Not too sweet and a warm, cinnamon flavor
DeleteWhatcha' gonna make with the chips....huh...huh....huh...???
