1. Fun socks I ordered arrived in the mail.
2. The postcard I won in a raffle arrived from Bastelmania from Düsseldorf, Germany
3. Saw a huge, orange, full moon. The Corn Moon. very cool.
4. Spent the day at Olde Mystic Village with Red.
5. My birthday/anniversary gift from Himself was backordered. It finally arrived. A bear fountain for the Zensical garden.
How was your week?
You had a full and wonderful week. I remember visiting Olde Mystic Village when I was in Connecticut one year. I thought it was going to be a fishing village and it turned out to be a tourist trap where you can buy very expensive gifts and brag about where you got them. I hope your experience was a bit less humorous than the one I had.

Mystic hasn't changed. A lot of the shops are geared to tourists with overpriced items. There are some shops that carry unusual gift items. Most of the time we browse in and out of the shops and then go out to lunch. It's just a fun way to spend the day

ReplyDeleteMany of the names for the monthly full moons come from Native Americans. Different tribes had different names for the moon. Corn Moon was the name I heard for September. I don't know what tribe the name came from.

The corn moon sounds stunning and your outing with Red must have been such fun! As you know, I've had a busy week with family visiting and we've had lots of fun 😁. They left yesterday so we've been tidying up and doing laundry. I've just sat down for my cup of tea and cake, so I thought I'd try and catch up on everyone's posts which may take some time ...lol 😉.
