Waiting for Red |
So I set the eclectic, tea table with an assortment of herbal and decaffinated teas for Red and Bigelow's English Tea Time for me. The ritual of tea isn't so much about the cups or the tea, but the company and conversation. I enjoyed Red's visit.
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
I have nice dishes and tea cups too but there they sit in a cabinet. It is a shame. But you were lucky and smart to bring them out. And even more so-how fun! perfect T day post CJ. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteMaybe time to dust off your nice dishes and use them. Even if just for yourself
DeleteGlad you are using your lovely old cups. Mine are always in the cupboard, such a shame really! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteTake one out and use it for yourself
DeleteI love that you are using your good cups, saucers, and tea bag holders. They are beautiful and I really like the various pieces you chose for you and Red to enjoy. To be honest, I have nothing that beautiful, but when I have tea at home, I still bring out what I call my best cups and saucers, or mugs. Nothing as delicate as you have, though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing how you entertained Red and shared this ritual for T this Tuesday. Yes, tea is a definite ritual that can't be rushed and should be shared with friends.
I love picking out which cups to use. Using "the best" cups just makes tea a little more special.
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks and thanks for dropping by
DeleteLove your tea cups! I am all about using the good stuff too! Makes everything taste better. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteCertainly makes things fancy
DeleteIt is lovely to see your beautiful china cups being used. I'm afraid mine is stored in a cupboard, we all seem to prefer using mugs in my home.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
I use mugs, too, but sometimes, it's just fun to bring out the teacups.
DeleteI smiled at your post-so nice to be able to use those lovely china cups with a friend-that is what tea is all about for sure-hugs
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day Kathy

Nice for a change of pace
Deletewhat a lovely setting for tea and conversation. It's nice to see the pretty vintage cups used from time to time. I will use some of mine on occasion too. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteGood to make use of them.
DeleteI totally agree! Why wait for 'some time special' to use the good things! MAKE the everyday special by using them! :D
ReplyDeleteGood advice.
DeleteI love the idea of a tea, with all the fixings including the good china. It makes for a special occasion.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it does.
DeleteWhat a lovely warm welcome to see the tea places set and waiting for you when you arrive! It all looks so elegant and I love mismatched china - perfect 😁. Glad you enjoyed the conversation and the tea with Red too, it must have been fun - Happy T Day! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen Red for quite some time so we had a nice visit
DeleteTea and good conversation... can't think of anything better...unless your serving coffee...lol Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteCoffee available if you drop by (-:
DeleteThat's a lovely tea setting, CJ. The older I get, the more I try to use the nice things I've had stored away. I felt like you - bothered by them just going to waste rather than being enjoyed as intended.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
I got tired of just washing the things in the curio cabinet and not using them.
DeleteI love the table you set! I'm a fan of using the fine china, else why have it at all :) Yours is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday
Thank you.
DeleteNothing like good company, and of course great tasting tea. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteLife is too short not to use the china! What a special day you had! I love tea!
