Cold rain go away Don't come back another day |
It was a busy week so I didn't get out to take garden pictures.
It was a week of weather extremes with temperatures close to 90 oF. (32 oC) on Thursday and Friday. I was very happy with the temperature.
The sweltering temperatures on Friday triggered some fierce thunderstorms across the area. A suspected lightning strike sparked a devastating fire for a church in a nearby town North of Worcester.
From the glorious Summer-like heat, temperatures plummeted over the weekend barely reaching 50 oF ( 10 oC.) with a cold, raw rain. I suppose it could have been worse and snowed.
How does your garden grow?
Your yard looks good. Those thunderstorms went on each side of where I am, but no rain at all here. - Anne (Cornucopia)
ReplyDeleteWe had heavy rains, lots of thunder and lightning. Some areas got hail, but not here.
DeleteThey predicted torrential downpours here for the weekend but so far it's only been spritzing.
ReplyDeleteNeeded rain and no flooding. Win. win.
Delete...meanwhile here, in my part of the UK, we've enjoyed a wonderfully sunny weekend and more to come next week :)
ReplyDeleteTake care, wishing you a happy new week.
All the best Jan
Lucky you!
DeleteThat’s too bad about the church in Spencer. I heard about these storms hope all went ok at your house. Hugs Erika
ReplyDeleteYup, just thunder, lightning, and downpours
DeleteYesterday it was so warm I could sit outside with a book and we had the first wood-strrawberry, too, so yummy.
ReplyDeleteCrazy about your weather!
You had a perfect day
DeleteWow, the 50 F sounds much better than 90 F. Too bad about the church fire, though.
