If you've followed my How Does Your Garden Grow posts the past couple of weeks, you know I've been having a duel with Rocky the squirrel. Above is the new feeder that he chewed through to get at the seed.
Fortunately, he chewed in such a way that he didn't destroy the perch, opening, or the bottom of the feeder. The pieces were easily found on the ground. I was able to glue the perch and bottom using E6000 low odor glue.
I had a sip of tea before I began gluing the pieces parts together.
I also relocated the bird feeder in the middle of the front yard, a good distance from the wishing well.
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
I'm glad you could fix your feeder. Hopefully Rocky will appreciate your effort and not ruin this one. Happy T day CJ.
ReplyDeleteSo far, so good
DeleteI am sorry, but this made me laugh!! "Eye of the Tiger" or Dean Winchester come to mind, the latter was referred to as squirrel in a meme! Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteEye of the Tiger as only Dean could perform it.
DeleteE6000 is a lifesaver. The only thing I found it didn't work on was pot metal. You and Rocky. Which one of you will last the longest? Thanks for sharing your tea and your repair with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
ReplyDeleteWe'll find out
DeleteSquirrels are really rascals, so determined to get to the bird seed. But who can blame them?
ReplyDeleteI don't blame them. I don't mind feeding them. I toss a generous amount of seed on the ground for the ground feeders. I just wish they wouldn't destroy the bird feeder
DeleteI wonder what strategy the squirrel is planning now?
ReplyDeleteWorld domination!
DeleteHave you seen the bird feeders that 'twirl' the squirrel around so he can't get to the seeds? That would be worth it just for the amusement factor!

They are hilarious!
DeleteThose pesky squirrels! They are a menace and very determined - good luck! Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks
Deleteno joke, do you have flying squirrel out there ? if so, me thinks you’re gonna lose the battle ππΎπ¦‼️
ReplyDeleteI don't think he's a genuine flying squirrel. He's just an Olympic long jumper
DeleteSquirrels!!!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy seeing their antics when they visit the garden ... but is there such a thing as a squirrel proof feeder???
I am pleased you seem to have fixed your feeder.
All the best Jan
