How Does Your Garden Grow?

Daylilies blooming at the front corner of the house. This overgrown area will be dug up as in the Fall, we'll be installing ductless heat/AC, and a compressor will be living in this area. Some of the vegetation will be replanted to hide the compressor.

Lots of blooms on Dedo's hydrangeas. This year's show promises to be spectacular.

The morning glories in the bucket are growing tall despite Timex (chipmunk) digging in the bucket. One of the tendrils has grasped the cage.

Heavy downpours this week yielded about a half inch of rain.

The bunnies can roll in a field of clover as far as the eye can see.

Lanterns are a new addition to the garden.

Himself asked if I wanted to remove the Christmas decorations. Christmas? They're woodsy.

If at first, you don't succeed...I replanted another morning glory in the pot by the base of the gazing globe. Hopefully, someone won't eat the top of this plant.

Boneset is starting to bloom in the area behind the Zensical garden and the neighbor's fence. This wildflower is supposed to attract butterflies. This area needs some serious landscaping. At the end of the season, I'll ask M. how much to truck in a load of topsoil. Meanwhile, I'll save my pennies.

Morning glories throwing out tendrils in Ink's garden. A couple of the moonflowers not doing well.

I rebuilt the stone towers. While putting up the hooks for the lanterns, I dug up a triangle-shaped stone. I thought it could be a sailboat or a shark heading towards the stone towers.

  1. My lilies have buds but not flowers yet! Everything is looking good in mine though, and in about a week it will go back to more green than flower color. Lanterns are such a good idea though. It is woodsy-:) Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

  2. Looks like your garden is growing fabulously. Your day lilies look so much better than mine, which appear to be on their last leg (so to speak). All of your plants seem to be doing so well, too.

I have lots of clover in my yard, too. Sadly, I have no bunnies to roll in mine, but I saw a robin picking bugs in a patch of it the other day.

Gotta love the sailboat tipped over by a shark (grin)!

    1. The garden is overgrown and weedy. We need some serious landscaping. As I say every year, maybe next year

    1. The hostas on the far side of the Zensical garden belong to my neighbor.

  5. Everything is looking great! I love your "woodsy" lantern! LOL! Clover is amazing! The best! I don't know why so many people hate clover?
