I got the iPad last year, but my desktop is 12 years old and is having some issues
I like watching the critters in the yard. The bunnies haven't been around since early Spring. I miss them. I'm glad the milkweed is attracting the butterflies and wish there were more bees around.
Nice week! Yours was more organized than mine. I wanted to say busier but I was busy. Visited Mom one morning and ran errands to get her supplied, am almost done with my basement clean up and made some art. And most importantly, spent a lot of hammock time. Have fun with the new computer! That is exciting. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika
You had some great things happen this week. With regard to the heat wave, I saw someone else say that it will extend up into part of Canada. This will be brutal for a lot of us. But you're right: at least we don't have to shovel any white stuff with a heat wave. (I'm not sure which I hate more: a heavy snow storm or a 90+ F (32.2 C) heat wave. Living in New England, I should be used to it by now, but the older I get, the more I hate the extremes.) I don't think Teddy and I will be going for any walks during this heat. (Teddy said it's worse for him, because he has a fur coat on.)
Annual clan gathering - reminds me that there was a book series out years ago and now I can't remember the name but it had "clan" in the title. I need to google that. Nice to have a gathering, see a monarch, buy a new computer and get a post and lighting. your week sounds productive and nice. By week - had a grandson here for a few days, did a few long long shoreline walks the days before he got here. Organized my many notebooks I've written in for a few years, cleaned my bathroom really good which means also the shower which is an awkward job and I really dislike it and other than that spent a lot of time sitting upstairs at the table watching our own hummingbirds fly to the feeder. They actually have a hard time eating because it is more like one flies to the feeder while another dive bombs them and they both fly up and away.
Are you thinking of Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel?
It sounds like you had a very productive week. I wish we lived closer to the ocean to be able to take walks along the shoreline. Cleaning the bathroom is not a Little Princess job. I loathe man-cleaning the toilet (under the seat and rim). Several years ago I found the Hurricane Spin Scrubber which makes cleaning the shower a little easier. Found it at Wal-mart.
oh and I forgot to mention - over at Lake Arrowhead they have a bush and the monarchs love to hang around that when they are in town. We usually have gone to the central coast in the fall and that's where they have a monarch butterfly grove near Pismo Beach. It's an amazing place to visit as they hang all over the trees.
What a fabulous week! I saw monarch butterflies for the first time when we visited Maine last year, they are amazing to watch in flight, very majestic 😁. Happy wishes! Jo x
Wow, didn't you just buy a new computer awhile back? Or is my sometimers memory kicking in.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new post and lighting.
Seems like you found joy in nature this week, too.

How lovely to have monarch butterflies in your garden. They are so pretty. Just lots of bees here. And wasps! A new computer? Enjoy! Valerie
ReplyDeleteVery few bees here. The beekeeper in town said his bees developed some sort of virus. And he hasn't been able to build up the colony. Sad.
DeleteYour week sounds great. Blessings.

DeleteOh boy! A new computer! Have fun with it! ;D
ReplyDeleteReady for some percussive maintenance
DeleteWhat's a Clan Gathering?
ReplyDeleteI wish we got monarchs, but we just don't see them much here any more. I've tried planting for them but must not get enough sun.
Congrats on the new computer!
The Kennedy Clan. It’s what I call Himself’s Irish family. 😀 We get together twice a year in July and at Christmas
DeleteFun! lol

ReplyDeletePoor Teddy. I hope there’s air conditioning or at least he can park himself in front of a fan.

ReplyDeleteI think all butterflies are beautiful to watch.
DeleteGreat week CJ!!! We've been having a lot of monarch butterflies! More than I have seen in a long time! Exciting, new computer!
ReplyDeleteIf the monarchs are making a comeback, hopefully, the bees will follow
