The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. I gained a day. I got a notice in the mail that I don't have to report for Jury Duty on 7/17

2. On the way to the post office two adorable young deer crossed the road.

3. The Gutter Guy returned to put a cover on the sun room gutters.

4. Saw a Baltimore Oriole at Red's bird feeder. Saw some bees on the milkweed in my yard and a Monarch butterfly

5. Perfect hazy, hot, and humid weather.

How was your week?

  2. I'll send you my humidity but I don't mind the weather otherwise. This must have been an almost perfect weather week for you. In fact a very good week since you don't have to report for Jury duty. That is exciting news. You've had a good week. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika

It looks like you had a great week and it must be so nice to see all the activity in your yard,I saw monarch butterflies for the first time last year when we visited Maine, they are spectacular in flight! Wishing you a happy Friday and Weekend! Hugs, Jo x

    1. I haven't seen many butterflies this year. I was wondering if they were going the same way as the bees so it was exciting to see some bee and butterfly activity.

  4. It sounds like you had a great week, with not needing to report to jury duty. (Once they finally "found" me, they call me every 3 years, I have to go there, and then I get called into a subgroup being considered for being on a jury. Ugh. I've had to go to Federal and State jury duty. Double ugh.) Baltimore Orioles are beautiful birds. I love Monarch butterflies. I'm not liking this hazy, hot, humid weather we're having here in the Northeast.

    1. Jury duty is the same for us in MA. I've been called several times. Had to go there hang around for most of the day only to be dismissed. The last time I got called up, I was impaneled as an alternate juror on a civil trial. So I was surprised to get a notice I didn't have to show up at all.

  7. All good things for your week. my week - I actually cooked for the first time in years, lol..my husband took that over when he retired and made my own recipes better. I just made old fashion easy ground beef tacos - felt good to stand at the stove again...kind of. We did a lot of long walking or hiking - up and down trails around a few of our local lakes ...Uh... i did some sketching.....I cleaned the house and I fed the birds and cleaned their water receptacles...and that's about it besides watching and bingeing on some netflix shows.

  8. I'd say the best news was your jury duty was cancelled.

You can have your heat and humidity. Give me cool weather any day. It's great that the youngsters like it cool, too, so we don't stay in the heat and bright sun too long. Not sure who had a better week, but maybe you did since you have no jury duty.
