Flamingos! For the Zensical Garden
I've been flocked!
Thank you, Robin. I love them! I've been looking in a bunch of lawn and garden stores, but no flamingos. Weird, because the pink cuties were invented here in Worcester, Massachusetts by Don Featherstone. When Mr. Featherstone passed away, the courtyard and grounds of the Worcester Art Museum were festooned with the pink creatures in his honor. At the time, I was sorely tempted to put a few of the birds into a flamingo relocation program. =^,.^=
Your flamingos are gorgeous, may they have a long and happy life i your Zensical garden! Have a great day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGood morning, this had me smiling as our neighbor at the lake has a couple flamingos in his yard facing the lake. Hubs teased him that he had thought of finding more and placing them all over his yard-he laughed and said I did that to someone once lol Happy Monday
ReplyDeleteFlocking someone's yard is a popular thing to do as a fund raiser around here.
DeleteYour flamingos look great. What a lovely surprise to receive in the mail. (I also read your reply to my comment about the drains, etc. Thanks for clarifying everything. And you're right about animals: where there's a will, there's a way. I have twist ties keeping the lid on my bird feeder shut. The squirrels have been chewing on them, trying to break them. It's just a matter of time. When I go outside to chase them off, they go a foot or two, then stop and look at me. I step closer, they step a foot farther away, then stare again. They've become very brazen and have little fear of humans, apparently.)
ReplyDeleteI was really surprised when the flamingos popped their head out of the box :-D
DeleteThe squirrels are cheeky. Truthfully, I don't worry or bother chasing the squirrels or chipmunks from the feeder. Maybe it's an Italian thing. Abbondanza! Everyone eats! :-D
I thought of flocking you but then came to my senses....LOL So glad you like them (and I surprised you!) Enjoy! :D
ReplyDeleteI would have loved a flocking, not sure Himself would have enjoyed it as much. Thank you so much for your generosity. I love my flamingo herd.
DeleteVery nice - and very thoughtful! :-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteIt's been a long time since I saw a flamingo yard decoration, but I'm getting a kick out of yours :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing them from the sun room just makes me smile.
DeleteI didn't know pink plastic flamingos come from my hometown. I guess that is something. What a fabulous gift you got in the mail. Now that is exciting. Hugs-Erika
