T Stands For I Know What It Is

On a How Does Your Garden Grow post, I had a picture of some white violets and whatever these little purple flowers are.

The FSG from Trout Talkin Tabbies had commented: "we have that purple plant all over the place; here at work its taking over the one corner. I've got some in the grass and in one of the back garden sections ??? where it carried from or what it is ....good guess !!!"

Lately, I get the feeling that someone is listening to what is said in the house. Mention looking for something and an ad will appear on Facebook. It's happening on my blog, too.

There are 3 different varieties of this tiny, purple flower, a member of the mint family. This particular one is called Creeping Charlie, Robin Runaway, or Catsfoot. As you can read on the website, it's edible and medicinal.

You can read all about it at: Differential Morphology of Purple Deadnettle, Henbit, & Ground Ivy I read all about them while sipping my tea from my Grinch mug.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. Those little purple flowers are pretty.

Big Brother (aka Google, Facebook, etc.) record any searches you do on the Internet, etc. and then feed you Ads. Google and Apple both plan to update their Smart Phone operating systems to have Bluetooth always on, so they can record who you "come in contact with" for "covid-19 / next pandemic" safety reasons only. (If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.)

    1. That’s the weird part. I don’t have Alexa and I turned Siri off on my phone and iPad. Did that to Himself’s phone, too. 😺

  6. Interesting about the flowers. I put a free app on my phone (recommended from a friend) called Seek. When I open it I can use my camera to go close to a plant or tree or flower etc., and it will tell me what it is. I've used it a few times- pretty cool. Happy T day!

  8. Yes, a little scary that the internet knows things you are looking at or for. Eyes and ears everywhere!
So glad that you found out the name of that plant. I have heard of it but not sure if we have any. I will have to be on the lookout as I walk around this weekend.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  9. I bet Halle could tell you what it is, because she is allergic to it. Glad you shared the mint with us for T this Tuesday because my mint is in pots and to my knowledge, doesn't flower.

  10. Chris and I often have that creepy feeling that the computer is listening in too, CJ. Then I think there are a lot more ineresting lives than mine for peeping bots.

Today Halle mentioned she's allergic to Creeping Charlie. I never heard of it. And now, here you are providing the information. That's pretty creepy. ;-)

    Happy T-Day! Eileen xx

  16. P.S. I think I might have a blue plant like your purple plant. I noticed it yesterday when I was out doing yard work. The leaves look similar.
