The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

An old photo of Ink and my favorite napping spot

1. The online bookbinding workshop seemed to be well received.

2. A 3.6 or 3.8 Earthquake at 9 AM on Sunday shook Southern New England. A quick jolt and a loud rumble. We were shaken, but not stirred. Himself didn't feel a thing and teased me that only cats, dogs, horses, and the Little Princess could feel such a mild earthquake.

3. The massage chair takes up a lot of room in the living room.  For more room and so I’ll be able to put the Christmas tree up, I was able to move the love seat to the sun room. All by myself. It was such a sunny and unusually warm day, I spent the afternoon sitting on the love seat and binding a journal. Still trying to hang onto Summer.

4. Though it was a grey day, it was still unusually warm for November. Another afternoon enjoying the sun room one more time by taking a nice nap on the comfy love seat. Ink would have loved this arrangement

5. Yesterday, I blogged about problems trying to comment on Blogger using the iPad. The browser, Opera, was a fix for a short time until Apple did an update. What to do? This is the screen on the iPad and I was trying to reply to Jo on my blog.

It looks as if I’m not logged in on the blog/comment page. If I click on the Reply to: I'm taken back to the Blogger landing page with the list of my blog posts. In the upper right hand of that screen, I'm longed in. What to do?

I ignored it! Made my comment, clicked published.  The comment published while I was using Chrome! It worked with Opera, too. If that's been your problem with trying to use Blogger on an iPad, that seems to be the fix. That is, until Apple does another update. 😉

How was your week?

  3. The sun room sounds like the perfect place for a love seat. We have our door and a window open enjoying the weather here. We turn off the air purifier, of course, when the door is open. We are sooo impressed with the one you recommended. Thx again :)

    1. I’m happy the air purifier is working well for you. I told Himself because he was the one that researched them. We also laughed at your comment. Living healthier one appliance at a time

    2. I was at Target yesterday for a grocery trip, and they had half an aisle devoted to air purifiers. Soon _everybody'll_ have one lol

  4. first off thank God i have a guy in my house that can rescue me from any kind of tech problems because I'm illiterate ...

That sun room looks warm and cozy especially with Ink lying there. Reminds me of my Beanie - wherever there is a person or a bit of sun coming in a room Beanie has to lie on us or near us and if we are busy then a spot on the floor with the sun coming in suits her fine.

I'm happy because according to weather reports we are having clear days through the end of november. Last Thanksgiving was a nightmare scenario up herein the mountains with wind and snow. I've been happy getting out walking a lot - even with it being cold - have had some good walks so that makes me happy.

  6. It was an amazing weather week, wasn't it? Gone now-SADLY, and it sounds like cold weather is coming. I am not going to think about that yet! Sounds like you had a nice week. Hope your weekend is nice also.

    1. I could go through Winter with temps in the 70s. But back to typical New England weather.

  7. WOW! An earhtquake! We do not get them very often here and when we do, they are so mild we barely feel them at all.

Yes, I beleive that Ink would have relished in the "new" sun room. ;)

  8. Luckily no Earth quakes over here, frightening!
Oh, yes, don´t we all cling on to summer?

    1. Sadly, I know people who live for the cold and snow of Winter! 😱

  9. I swear I must have slept through yesterday, but I was busy with many things not computer related.

I've been in BIG earthquakes in CA, but the ones I feel here in KS are from fracking. The first time it happened, I thought the cats were fighting under the love seat. It's amazing how long they last, too. The little princess isn't the only person to feel them. I've felt 3.4 on the Richter scale, so . . . .

Glad you got your iPad figured out. One more reason I don't have one (grin).

I think Ink would have loved snuggling up to you in the sun room. I know both my boys would.

  10. Goodness! An earthquake! That's a little scary!

Today (Saturday) we've had rain, rain, wind, wind, rain and wind!
Not nice, I'm hoping tomorrow will be better.

    All the best Jan
