Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

In 1983, granite was named the official state building and monument stone. Granite from Quincy, Massachusetts was used to build the Washington Monument.
I didn't know that. Was it the same granite that built the Bunker Hill Memorial, do you know? Hopefully it won't be as wet and cold as tomorrow. I haven't seen the weather, so I'm going to risk it and go out to plant my veggies. Happy Saturday CJ.

Yup, according to the Bunker Hill Monument site, the granite came from Quincy. It's sunny and beautiful this afternoon. Hope you get some sun too
