Fun with the Birthday, Celebration, and Love Stamps

 

If you're ever looking for ideas for mail art or cards or just like browsing, then check out Jean's blog, pushing the envelopes. There are lots of delicious, eye candy ideas to steal borrow.

Jean wrote Happy Birthday on her cake layers and I decide the space was perfect for the recipient's name. Sadly, Hallmark included a pink envelope with the birthday card so I cut a scrap of mixed media paper for the design and address.

The card was an oversized, popup card and stated extra postage was needed. The card only weighed one and a half ounces so 3 stamps is overkill, but I liked the way the stamps looked together.

    Fun envelope CJ. I'm terrible at jazzing up envelopes, but they are certainly fun to receive in the mail. Have a great Monday. Are you going to get rain also?

      According to Cindy on WCVB we're in for thunderstorms scattered thunderstorms from noon until 8 pm.

    Wonderful birthday card CJ...and the stamps really do add somethin' somethin'.. :) very festive! Today and tomorrow they are giving us 44% chance of rain here in west central TX.. cross your fingers! Hugs! deb

      We're supposed to get a cold front bringing thunderstorms to break our two day 90 oF heat and humidity.

    Cute card! I often wonder if the people who receive my 'jazzed up' cards even notice things like coordinated stamps....but then I think I do it more for myself than the recipient.....lol.

      Recipients like the design, but unless they are an arty type, they don't really notice the detail imnsho

    This was nice to see. Reminds me of when my dad always drew a picture on an envelope when he would send me a letter. It was after my mom passed away and he was retired so he had a lot of time to do things like that.
