How Does Your Garden Grow?

Eggplants. Parmigiana here we come!

Something took a big bite out of the back of the tomatoes

Somebunny planted some morning glories. I tried wrapping them around the shepherd's hook so when the lawn guy comes, they won't get weed whacked. Himself thinks the morning glories are weeds because they keep popping up all over the place. Weeds or no, I think they are pretty.

  1. My eggplants are finally flowering. I hope I can make parmigiana too. It's so dry, isn't it? Your lawn is looking like mine. Let's hope for some rain; I wouldn't mind a wet day or 2. Happy Sunday. hugs-Erika

  3. Sometimes the weeds are prettier than cultivated flowers! (But I think they're morning glories too!) :)

  5. I grew eggplant one year and I had so many I couldn't give them away fast enough. Yours look like they need a bit more time.

Your tomato may have a bite out of it, but your basil looks good. Nice planting them together. I would never think of that.

I have to admit, your gardens look a lot better than mine right now. I DID finally mow the back yard this week, but didn't trim or edge. Still too hot for that. I made the front look nice before the clean-up, though.

    1. Yup, the eggplants still need a little more time. Himself read somewhere about planting companion plants to keep bugs away. Basil is supposed to keep hookworm away from tomatoes. Flies and mosquitos don't like the scent, either.

Here only one sunflower and two no-known in bloom, rest still on the way! Hi to the watchers x and bunnies, of course (and you!)

    1. Depending on the variety, sunflowers bloom late Summer to early Fall. There's still time

  7. The Watchers are so cute. I love morning glories = use to have them climb up a fence of mine in my old house.

    1. The Watchers are adorable. I love morning glories especially the Heavenly Blue variety. I bought the seeds, but didn't get them planted
