In case you didn't see Finnbadger's comment on the 2023 Love Stamp post,  here it is:

The next price increase is January 22nd (first class 1oz letter will be 63c), so buy these on the 19th through 21st to pay 60c per stamp.

Thanks for the head's up, Finn.

  1. And if you tend to buy stamps from the USPS online shop, not that it may be unavailable from 11pm on the 21st as they implement all the changes.

International rate is increasing to $1.45, and postcards go up to 48c.

    1. And that's 11pm eastern, for those who may be in other time zones

  2. Another postage increase? Before you know it sending a letter will cost over a $1.00. Then the post office will be in real trouble.

    1. The post office was set up to provide a service and not to be an income generating business. Even if the cost of postage rises to $1, it's still cheaper to mail stuff in the US than other countries.

  3. It's true. As much as I mumble and complain we still have cheaper rates than other countries! (and gas too!)

    1. Yes, we do. For postage, we get a pretty good bang for our buck

  4. Cute stamps! And yes, they rise the price here, too, too often... weird, as there is e-mail etc...

    1. Yes, but email doesn't have the same excitement as getting a card or a letter in the mail

  8. Thanks to Finnbadger for the heads up on the international postage. Glad I have a bunch of forever international stamps I got before the LAST rate hike.

  9. Prices are gonna rise, I guess. I don't use the USPS like I used to, not even Christmas cards. I do mail packages now that The Daughter has moved so far away...
