How Does Your Garden Grow?

A dusting of nuisance snow

The sky was supposed to look like red sky in the morning, sailor take warning, but because of the thick cloud cover, the light looked weird.

Harvey must have lost electricity at some point, but his heart is akin to mine. Look at that feels like 97 oF temperature. If only!

Puffed up bunny because of the cold or pregnant?

A proper red sky in the morning

The Wetterhaus had stopped working, but a change of location, and the humidifier and it's working again. The Herr made several appearances this week due to inclement weather.

Another passing storm. The snow didn't accumulate on paved surfaces

just grassy surfaces.

Barely an inch. Which is fine by me

Inside, lettuce and 2 tiny, red tomatoes from the hydroponic garden.

How does your garden grow?

  1. Your harvest is super! Are you in line to get snow during tonight’s/tomorrow’s storm? They’ve up the totals our way. Happy Sunday!

    1. It's mostly a rain event though it may turn to snow at the end and a possible 1 - 3 inches. I think the 3 inches is mostly North of the Pike to Rte. 2

    1. The lettuce has been very good. Nice and crispy. The 2 little tomatoes were a bit on the acidic side, but I like 'em

    1. About 5 years ago I bought it through a catalog. I think it was the Vermont Country Store Catalog. They don't seem to have it listed. It might be a Christmas thing as I bought mine as a Christmas gift to me. I saw one on Amazon for $30 or so.

  4. "Barely an inch". That's adorable ;) That might be enough to shut things down here and would at least cause a run on milk and bread lol

    1. The run on bread and milk happens here for every storm. We got panicky every since the Blizzard of '78 when no one was prepared and the state was shut down for a week.

  5. That little weather house is adorable. Seems a great-great aunt had one when I was growing up. I got her radio when she died, and have no idea who got the weather thingy.

Had to laugh at what Nita wrote. CA is the same way, at least SOCAL is. Once the tires get the least bit wet, no one knows how to drive OR stop. Your dusting is like MY dusting, but my temps are far colder than 97 F (grin).

  6. About 3 inches of snow fell here, and with no wind it made for a picturesque scene. More snow on its way later in the week - winter definitely having a resurgence.

    1. We've been getting nuisance snow every other day. A dusting of snow to rain. Rinse, lather, repeat. Same forecast this week, too. Not really Winter for my area. Not yet

  7. Your snow started earlier than ours did this year - at least my part of Pennsylvania. But I am sute ours is YET to come!

    Love the pics though.

    1. We haven't had much snow in my area. I don't think we've gotten more than 6 inches total so far for the season. It snows a couple of inches, warms up, and melts. Winter hasn't really started yet

  8. We had a wee bit of snow, too (all gone already).

Haha, do I dare? OK I ask... do you have a Kuckucksuhr?

    1. No, I don't have a Cuckoo clock. I bet the kitties would like one. 😺
