The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1.  I put Easter candy away for the Girlies, but couldn't remember where I put it for safe keeping. While doing some cleaning, I found it!

2. Started a purge and cleaning of the bedroom

3. The tornado warning delayed me getting to Teague's for our weekly play day. Fortunately for us no damage in our area though 2 confirmed tornadoes were reported in 2 Massachusetts communities on the Cape.

4. Had a fun night out to dinner with the Brother and his wife.

5. A seat for a Sacred Art Retreat on Enders Island in September opened up so I signed up.

How was your week?

  1. You must be excited to get a seat at Ender's Island. And finding the Easter candy. I couldn't find the package of printer ink I knew I bought so I went to BJ's and bought another. No sooner did I get home and remember where I kept it. Good, I can return the BJ's ink and get my money back. :) Enjoy this day!

  3. Found candy! I know what I'd be doing ;)

We found m&m cookies, chocolate cupcakes, and lemon bars on the clearance bakery rack at the grocery store and pork chops and beef roast in the clearance bin in the meat department. I feel like I won the jackpot!

  4. LOL I read #3 as a 'tomato warning' and I was wondering what a tomato warning consists of....😕 (Glad you weren't hit by a TORNADO!!!) {and there's a statement I never thought I'd write/say to a friend......}

    1. I had to go back to make sure I didn't make a typo 🤣 Tomato warning. Like the movie Cloud with a Chance of Meatballs. I'm glad we weren't hit by the tornado, either.

  8. Was the Easter candy still good? Check the sell by date, because chocolate goes rancid FAST, especially in summer.

Nice you get to go to Enders Island. I know how disappointed you were when you learned it was full.

I cleaned my garage on Monday.
I cleaned my garage on Tuesday.
I cleaned my garage on Wednesday.
I cleaned my garage on Thursday.
Joseph cut my hair Thursday night.
I started setting the bags at the curb on Friday when we had thunder, lightening, and a downpour.
Got the final bags to the curb by 9 pm.
I attended the clean up on Saturday. I was wiped out and went home, slept awhile, ate, slept, ate, slept, woke long enough to feed the boys, then slept. STILL tired!! I think YOUR week was better than mine. I need a helper, I think!!

    1. Check with your Senior or Community Center to see if they have volunteers that will help out

    2. I seriously believe you should be a senior to ask for help. I would feel weird otherwise. Like I was being lazy or needy.

    3. Well, I am a bona fide Senior, thought like my dad I hate the term and would prefer to be called an Elder. In my town, people can use the Senior Center and services when they are 55 years of age. - CJ
