The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Awesome lunch leftovers from anniversary dinner at Giacomo's

2. First day in Newport. On the beach by 3:30 pm.

3. Roamed through the shops and had lunch at Bowen's Wharf. Afternoon at the beach.

4. Stayed up until 4 am talking. Camp meets slumber party. A late start. Afternoon on the beach by 4pm

5. Tour of one of the "cottages" and then poof, back to reality.

How was your week?

  1. I love how you stayed up until 4 AM chatting. I don't know if I could do that "late" anymore without nodding off. I can tell you enjoyed your trip. And now you're home, but at least you won't have to miss the beach with this rain. Stay dry!

    1. After the all-nighter, we weren't bright eyed and bushy-tailed like we were in the old days. But we did manage to drag ourselves around. 😺

  5. That reinsertion back into reality can be rough! Your week sounds wonderful!
~ Beautiful day out with hubby , played 18 holes of golf and delicious Mexican lunch out...
~ Cherry Vanilla Blue Bell icecream .... enough said...
~ The last trimming up of the Sunflowers before they are done... kinda bittersweet... I'm a little tired of doing it although i've enjoyed it and seeing the wildlife that have enjoyed them. But it means Fall is just that much closer..
~ Plans to drive 90 miles to go to a Red Lobster for Hubby's birthday... the one here in town closed down last year..
~ Ran into problems with the honeycomb paint holders... went to put the paint bottles in them and they wouldn't fit.. What!? So NOT a good thing... but the good news is we are going to figure it out... Hugs! deb

  8. I haven't been to a beach since who knows when. Years now. You are so lucky to live so close to one. And more than one day at the beach, too.

Sounds like a fun all-nighter. I can understand why you were late getting up the next day. I am impressed how you spent your time away before reality set in again.
