How Does Your Garden Grow?

Oh, no! Is this an Asian Longhorn Beetle that's been damaging trees?

I am not an Asian Longhorn Beetle. I am Broad Necked Root Borer. I pose no threat.

The fuchsia looks leggy

A ladybug stopped by for a visit

How is your garden?

  1. Thank goodness he's been identified! and found not to be the baddy... My SunFlowers are starting to give up the ghost... The extreme heat and lack of water has finally reached a breaking point. But they performed beautifully this year. I'am just in awe of their drought tolerance and resilience ... Hugs! deb

    1. At least the sunflowers made it this far. I didn't get a chance to plant the seeds you sent me. Maybe next year. The sunflowers Himself started from seeds were devoured by the chippies and bunnies.

  3. I've seen these beetles. There are so many beetles that some of the plainer ones can get confusing. Do you know there are more beetles than other other insect? Happy Sunday. Another great day-until I have to work tomorrow.

  6. Creepy little guy, but at least he is not a problem. On the other hand, I love Lady Bugs and their symbolism.

The gardens here in the UK got rather wet this weekend thanks to Storm Antoni ... and it's meant to be summer!

  9. It's good to be able to get things properly identified. There seem to be more and more invasive critters :(

    1. I'm relieved it's not invasive. The Asian Longhorn Beetle cause so much destruction in Worcester the city had to remove many, many trees
