Someone had a snack and left the empty on the driveway
Bitty Bunny
The new bird feeder is a big hit
The squirrel made a flying leap from the top of the shed to the hook and was trying to get at the seed. I yelled, clapped my hands, and he leaped to the ground. He was happy to forage for seeds on the ground. The Bitty Bunny moved closer to the feeder as the pickins were better.
Birds stacked at the feeder
Timex and a mourning dove took a turn.
Morning glories.
How does your garden grow?
It's looking nice and green. And squirrels are acrobatic masters. My feeders are in for the summer, but sometimes when there are a dozen of them, it's fun to chase them away. For a few minutes. My friend tried a slinky on her pole but she has not place for them to hop from. It seems to keep them off. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHimself just bought and installed metal squirrel baffles. We'll see
DeleteWOW! The feeder really is a hit! (have you seen this one? https://mybirdbuddy.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=18623360097&utm_content=145504977507&utm_term=bird%20feeder%20camera&gadid=651365534334&gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw_uGmBhBREiwAeOfsd5sRyulZTEAszOMz7vS0JpJedf_p2yziWKQwpgUhgdIiZPe_GLVAsRoC4JwQAvD_BwE ) I can't decide if I want to get it for Husband.......
ReplyDeleteYeah, I saw that when it first came out a year or two ago as a Kickstarter. I've been debating getting it, too.
DeleteHaving a hanging basket on the other side is a great idea. I love those yellow birds. - Anne (Cornucopia)
ReplyDeleteThe double hook really needs something for balance
DeleteThe SunFlowers in front of the house i'm getting ready to chop down but the ones between the house and shop are not too bad... I've been giving them a little water now and then and they seem to be hanging on.. The bird feeders were such fun in Arkansas... The contest of wits between hubby and the squirrels was epic...lol Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteHimself bought squirrel baffles. We'll see 😺
DeleteI get squirrels on my balcony, on the 2nd floor, 34 steps above the ground - how do they get up here!? M grden is doing very well. Valerie
ReplyDeleteWow! I guess where there's a squirrel, there's a way😺
DeleteI have given up on my bird feeder. I have squirrels, opossums, and a family of five raccoons that come out at night to destroy my herbs. One of these days I'll figure out how to keep them all away, except the opossum that prefers dead and dying things like my compost pile.
ReplyDeleteHope the baffles work.
So far, we haven't seen the squirrel in a couple of days. Don't know if anything happened to him
DeleteCan't believe I am finally caught up. I also can't believe how far behind I got visiting. Thanks for not giving up on me.
ReplyDeleteNo worries. You visit when you can.
DeleteI grease my poles and use those squirrel-proofing domes on my feeders. So far, so good. It has gotten to where the squirrel passes me by. Easier pickings elsewhere, maybe.
ReplyDeleteHimself greased the pole and then bought some squirrel baffles. Since he bought and installed the baffles, we haven’t seen the squirrel in a few days 😺- CJ
