Leo, the Lion
Wie geht's, Heinrich?
A duck (I think), two Dr. Seuss shaped trees, and a trophy
An elephant and a big giraffe
A comfy chair
A pineapple brought back on the sailing ship
A basket or a wishing well
Day flowers
Golden Trumpet
Two bushes. Your guess is as good as mine.
Old, dead tree with new growth
Mini-windmill
The house on the estate
Crapemyrtle
I bet the garden is spooky at night! (But I like the 'cottage'! LOL)
ReplyDeleteWe commented that if we saw the little dog from Stephen King's "The Shining" we would be out of there toot sweet! 😺
DeleteI wanna climb into that chair and pitch a penny in the wishing well :) Great collection!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be fun?
DeleteWonderful photos. I like the lion best! - Anne (Cornucopia)
ReplyDeleteI think it was in the best shape. Some of the other animals were hard to identify
DeletePretty CJ! The lion looks really good!! I love crepe myrtle... they take very little care and are pretty drought tolerant. Love seeing your photos! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI think the lion and the teddy bears were the best.
DeleteI don't quite understand the semblance of these. Is it they are formed from whatever looks best? Seems the animals should be together, and the rest should be elsewhere. I thought it was a bit of hodge podge, although I did appreciate your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThe plant used to create the topiaries are boxwood. Some of them have a wire frame that the branches are trained to go over. If all the animals were together, it would be just a mass of green. The gardens surrounding the topiaries give a pop of color and are also a maze to wander through
DeleteHenry looks great. I like the big chair too. That's not something you usually see, is it?
ReplyDeleteThe chairs were a fun surprise
DeleteWonderful place! Have a great week, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI hope your week goes well, too
DeleteI love the topiaires. So much fun.
ReplyDeleteThey were such a delight.
DeleteWhat a great place to visit, the topiaries are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Heinrich says it´s too cold, and, oh, hi Leo!
ReplyDeleteIt must be great fun to be a gardener there!
The pineapple :-)
Thank you, this was fun.
