T Stands for Tea Sampler

Another Tuesday another tea from the sampler. This time Organic Citron Crisp Green Tea. Green tea is more delicate than black tea. According to the temperature chart on the sampler box, green tea is at it's best with the water temperature between 160 and 175 degrees F.  and the tea steeped for 1 to 3 minutes. I prefer a strong cup of tea so steeped for the full 3 minutes.

The tea bag and the wrapper had a pleasantly strong citrus scent. The tea itself didn't have a scent to it and had an earthy taste.  Adding a bit of honey didn't change the earthiness.

The tea wasn't horrible, but I'm not about to give up my usual English Breakfast or Earl Grey teas.

What about you, are you a fan of green tea or no?

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. Usually I dislike green tea, as it mostly tastes like an infusion of hay to me. *LOL*. I found tea bags with green tea and lemon at ALDi and I really like them, but my favorite stays Earl Grey. Happy T Day!

    1. Maybe hay was the earthy flavor I picked up on 😺

  2. I like green tea but I don't like matcha tea. Matcha tastes like asparagus water. (And I like asparagus), and sometimes people confuse it for green tea. I have a green tea with pineapple tea right now that I really enjoy. Happy T day.

  3. Tea doesn’t really do anything for me, but I’m fascinated by the many options that people enjoy.

  4. I don't like green tea at all. Earl Grey with lemon when I do, rarely, drink tea.

    1. I take my Earl Grey with a bit of milk/creamer and sweetener. Earl Grey with lemon sounds perfect iced for the Summer. I'll have to make a note to try that

  5. I used to like the tea they served in Chinese restaurants, that's green tea isn't it?

    1. But somehow it was different. I had green tea with Midori liquor at a Japanese restaurant. It was quite good.

  7. Fabulous to try different teas, I like green tea but more in the summer months as it's a bit lighter in taste than my usual black teas 😊. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x

  8. I'm not a big fan of tea, green, black, or oolong. However, like you, if I must drink it, it has to be strong. Thanks for sharing another tea in your tea sampler with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

  9. Nope, not a green tea or herbal tea fan. Give me my black tea, please. I love the Lady Grey and Earl Grey, even Lemon lift, and chai. :) Happy tea day.

    1. That's the way my auntie used to make the tea for me when I first started drinking tea at 10 years old. Such a happy memory. Thanks!

  11. I have not found a green tea I like yet but I keep trying them like you did here. I probably need to get a sampler. Maybe I should also pay attention to time steeping too - lol. Happy T-day, CJ. Hugz
