The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. It felt a lot colder than the 35 oF when I went to fill the bird feeders. So for doing my good deed, I treated myself to a Keurig Chai pod.

2. With the threat of nasty weather on my usual play day with Teague, I asked if she could change the date to Tuesday. She said Wednesday would work better for her. So Wednesday it was.

3. Teague invited me to a retreat with her Women's Circle next month.  We were going to talk about where we were going to stay and then Teague made the arrangements! She's the best cruise director.

4. Teague had a gift card to Bertucci's Restaurant so that's where we went to lunch.

5. Stormy weather. So I made vegetable soup and homemade bread for supper. Oh, and storm brownies.

How was your week?

  1. A retreat to look forward to sounds interesting. Storm brownies intrigue me, too.

    1. Storm brownies are part of storm prep. You bake brownies so you have something to eat in case you lose electricity

  2. Storm brownies and chai tea definitely make it a fantastic week! Of course this snow is too much and it's not over yet. AUGH! Maybe more storm brownies will be in both our futures.

    1. I'm baking testing out items that can be used in place of eggs. The first batch was with sour cream. The next batch will be with chia seeds.
