Happy Halloween

Herself and Ink

This is my last entry for the Inktober and Fright-Fall 2021 challenges. I swapped the 7th day prompts Fan and Black Cat so I would be able to post the Black Cat Fan on Halloween. Halloween was the date chosen for Ink's birthday, and he would have turned 24 years old today. He loved sitting on my shoulder.

This piece was done by cartoonizing a photograph. The cartoonized photographed was printed, traced, and transferred into my Inktober journal. Micron Pigma pen and watercolor pencil.

  2. Love Ink, now I understand the title :-)
    "Would have", though...
To Ink and a happy Halloween.

  3. It's a wonderful piece CJ. I like how you used blue with the black. I've had 3 cats in my life and none of them were shoulder sitting cats. Do you think either of the kittens will do that? Have a fantastic Halloween. Hopefully we'll dry up before the day ends.

    1. So far, Quill doesn't like to be held for more than a minute. He's too busy exploring. Calli likes to be cuddled and held like a baby. It's clearing up here so hoping is spreads its way North.

    1. The kitties are so cute together. They groom each other, play together. A couple of hissing growling eps. When Quill wants to play but Calli’s not in the mood.

  6. I just wanted to say thanks for the explanation of the skull with wings on those old tombstones (from my blog post and your comment). That makes sense, but I didn't know that. It's good to know. Do you know what the willow tree means?

    1. The willow tree can represent tears and sadness. It also lives a long time and a tree can grow from one of leaves, fronds if just stuck in the ground so it represents life after death and resurrection
