I want an easy way to look at my ATC's whether they are in portrait or landscape form. What to do, what to do? Simple. Alter a book into an album. Wait! Before you former librarians , this textbook has been sitting in the bottom of a box for eons. I don't remember when the last time Himself taught Environmental Science, at least 10 years ago. I rescued this lonely, unread book and decided it is the perfect size to alter into an album.
I've removed pages (lots and lots of pages) and glued the remainder in groups of 3 to give strength to the paper. There are a little over 100 new pages which will hold several hundred ATCs with 3 to 4 per page.
Now, what to do about the cover? Off to play

Yeah! A new altered book. And A good choice of book to alter...I'll get over my shakes in a minute...or two...
ReplyDeleteThought of you at Kalahari--the kids had an ATC workshop. Lots of little kidlets altering cards and then trading. Lots of paint, scraps of paper, feathers and such littered a huge floor. I'm sure you'd have been right at home.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect cover... You and a certain cowboy having a picnic... or, maybe himself? I still may make one of these some day... I'm thinking of using a German book and pictures from all the years of teaching...
ReplyDeletePictures of the inside, please!
ReplyDeleteTalk about doing ur part for "Save the environment!" lol..least ur resusing the book instead of tossing it. Would be interesting to see what the author of the book thinks of the re-altering of his writings! lmao! Can't wait to see the finished product! :D
