How Does Your Garden Grow?

Heavenly Blue Morning Glory

Grass is not only greener over the septic tank, but it's tastier, too.

Morning glories behind Ink's garden

Ink's garden

The morning glories loving the unseasonably warm weather. Me, too.

Trees starting to turn color in the woods behind the house.

Red and yellow poison ivy in the meadow and a spot of red across the street.

Not much rain this week.

    1. The morning glory variety is called Heavenly Blue. My favorite. Some of the blooms must be close to 4 inches in diameter.

  2. It's starting to look like fall in your neck of the woods. My husband had a client in Worcester this past week and said that your colors were definitely a bit behind us. Your morning glory looks fabulous. A last bloom of summer. :) Too bad it couldn't bloom all winter. And I love the little tikes sand box top. We have one of those too, but I was curious what it was doing on your septic? Covering the vent? happy Sunday. Hugs-Erika

    1. We're quite a bit behind color-wise this year. We usually peak color a week or so after Columbus Day. I think all the hot and humid weather in September confused the trees. I wish the winter would be mild enough for the morning glories to keep blooming. We have the septic system pumped out every year. (Note to self call to make the appointment). Himself got tired of digging up the septic cover every year. So the sandbox sits on top of the cover. Himself just moves the sandbox. No more digging.

  4. Your garden is looking good, as always! The morning glory is a wonderful colour. What a thought about the grass over the septic tank tasting better! On my balcony only the clover and a few weeds are still flourishing! Have a nice day, hug, Valerie

    1. The unseasonably warm temperatures this Summer and Fall have given us an unusually long growing season. Usually at this time of year, we're preparing for our first snow!

  6. You have been waiting SO patiently for those morning glories to bloom, and when they finally do, it's the end of the season. I have my fingers crossed you don't get frost any time soon!
