So I searched online to see if I could find a pattern that would be easy for me to crochet and I found it at Dabbles and Babbles. The pattern worked up within a couple of hours with the help of soft, chunky yarn and a giant crochet hook. As my hands are always cold during the cold weather months, I even had enough yarn to make a pair of easy-peasy fingerless gloves.
Happily, it's been too hot to wear the cowl though I have worn the mitts a couple of nights when it was chilly in the sunroom.
I LOVE that cowl, it will surely keep you warm as toast when the days get chilly. Great idea with the gloves, too. Have a good start in the new week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHope so.
DeleteI love Claire's outfits too on that series, and she has some fantastic knitwear to wear. Love your cowl CJ. It will keep you really warm come January. It looks fairly easy to make too. I like easy knits so I can knit while I watch tv in the evening with the hubby. Glad you shared. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIt was all half double crochet in the back loop in rows. Sewn together with a whip stitch. Very easy
DeleteLove it! Have to pass this on to Fi. Haven't started Outlander yet..putting it on my list. Congrats on another project started and finished.
ReplyDeleteIt's really quick and easy to work up. Just very basic stitches.
DeleteVery nice! Maybe you'll be able to play in the sunroom a few extra days wearing them! :)
ReplyDelete:-D From your fingers to God's eyes
DeleteI don't get Starz channel, so I fear this show is lost on me. However, I think your cowl and fingerless gloves turned out great.
ReplyDeleteI have NO neck, so I don't wear anything around my neck. In fact, I don't wear collars, either. But those gloves look absolutely awesome and something I WOULD wear! Great job, dear.
The books are so much better though they have done a wonderful job adapting the story for television
DeleteGreat job, CJ!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWell done! I love the set!!!
