A lull in the storm and a splash of color across the street
Brilliant color next to the neighbor's fence.
Heavy winds blew the dragon over. Surprised with his outstretched wings he didn't go airborne
I liked the way this leaf was standing up in the grass.
Busy afternoon at the feeder. A house finch and a nuthatch share the perch while mourning doves rummage in the grass
Another girls' morning out
Almost 5 inches of rain from two straight days of heavy rain. Glad it wasn't snow or this would have totaled nearly 50 inches
Morning glories think it's August. I'm not complaining
and bring brightness to the morning gloom
A petunia, a little worse for wear, still hanging on
Dido is completely hidden by dusty blue and lavender hydrangea blooms
How does your garden grow?
Your garden is still looking good. Love the mourning doves, we don't have them here. Glad your dragon didn't take flight! I just have clover, mums and one petunias on my balcony. Enjoy your Sunday, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe mourning doves are one of my favorites. When the Eldest was little she used to call to them and they'd answer back. Yooo-hooo. Yoooo-hooo.
DeleteI think with today's and tomorrow's rain and wind we will have no leaves left. :( It's been so pretty the last week or so. I think from your photos we've gotten to the same point. But love seeing how your morning glory still has some flowers. And I just love that dragon. that is super cool. Happy Sunday. Not the day yesterday was, but I can use a dark relaxing day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWe lost a lot of leaves from last week's storm, and I bet the rest will go with the storm today.
DeleteRain is ALWAYS better than snow! ;)
ReplyDeleteAs long as it doesn't come down an inch per hour so flooding doesn't happen
DeleteHappy Sunday! Those fall colours looks amazing and those Morning Glories really made me smile, they are such a welcome splash of colour this time of year 😁. Hope you had a great weekend, sorry I'm late visiting ...it's been sunny here so we've been out walking and meeting up with friends. I'm just trying catching up with everyone ...lol 😉. Have a wonderful week! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the brilliant blue of the morning glories. An echo of the impossible blue skies seen at this time of year
Deletegreat photos...love the fall. great colours this time a year
ReplyDeleteLots of color at this time of year
DeleteSorry I'm so late visiting. Battery meltdown, so to speak. I have been reading about your storm, and realize it isn't over yet. Maybe it's time to fly that dragon into the garage for the winter. Love it, though.
ReplyDeleteI brought in all the lawn ornaments.
DeleteAwesome color...hope you have power. So windy here. xo
ReplyDeleteSee the Monday post. =^,.^=
DeleteThat is a lot of rain!! I am so happy your dragon didn't fly away! Gorgeous autumn colours and I love that your flowers are still hanging on too! We've been getting lots of chickadees in! I love them!! I love the noise they make!
ReplyDeleteI was happy the dragon didn't fly away. The Black-Capped Chickadee is my state bird.
DeleteThat's interesting to know!
