At the top of the hill was the Aquarium. It was a very hot day and cool inside the building. And also very crowded. Sometimes we felt like salmon swimming against the current.
Starfish and anemones, I think.
Feeding time for the penguins was popular. It seemed like the entire zoo/aquarium was crammed into the viewing hall.
Jellyfish under black lights.
Giant seahorses.
Small, blue seahorse
Small, yellow seahorse
Reef tank.
It was a very hot day, so either before or after visiting the aquarium, we stopped for a refreshing glass of ice, cold lemonade. Only someone inhaled her drink so she didn't get a picture. So an mage from Pexels.com will have to do.

I loved the visit with you. and I Love seahorses something I did not see at Wonders of Wildlife's aquarium enjoyed all the photos-mmmm lemonade sounds perfect
ReplyDeleteps Happy T Day
DeleteI had never seen large seahorses so that was pretty cool.
DeleteLovely pictures, what city has this aquarium?
ReplyDeletePittsburgh, Pennsylvania http://www.pittsburghzoo.org/
DeleteI think the most famous aquarium I have ever been to was the Shedd in Chicago. However, I don't remember ever seeing any sea horses there. In fact, I've never seen a sea horse, except in photos. This was a fun treat.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at your inhaling the drink. I've done that unwittingly before, too. Thanks again for the lovely gifts. Thanks, also for sharing photos of the aquarium and your lemonade with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
Throughout this trip I was forever forgetting to take pictures of food and drink. Himself would ask before he ate or drank: Aren't you going to take a picture? Yup, he's well-trained :-D
DeleteI love aquariums and this one looks really like a good one. No wonder why it was so busy. Penguins always seem to draw HUGE crowds. It's almost better to skip feeding time. And just to answer your question-the Kimball farms in my post is owned by the same folks as the one in Jaffrey. I had never been to one before but I was looking it up online and there are quite a few of them around. Happy T day CJ. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteMy friend, Teague, took me to the Kimball Farms in Concord. We had toddler size ice cream cones which were huge! And delicious!
DeleteWow, you got some amazing photos at the aquarium! I loved seeing the jellyfish and seahorses 😁. When we've been to the aquarium we always look for the seahorses and can never find them ...lol 😉. The ice cold lemonade sounds refreshing and delicious - Happy T Day! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteI can't remember seeing seahorses at the New England Aquarium in Boston or Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. Maybe I was too busy herding girlies and didn't pay attention. The lemonade was perfect on such a hot day
DeleteFabulous aquarium photos and the ice cold lemonade sounds refreshing. I have just cold herbal tea here today. It also helps a lot against the heat.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day!
Hugs, Susi
I'm not a big fan of herbal teas. This past week I've been drinking an Arnold Palmer which is lemonade mixed with iced (black) tea
DeleteSome beautiful pictures from the Aquarium. I love visiting Aquariums and never tire of seeing sea creatures in their element. But I love the jellyfish and sea horses especially. A beautiful creation they are! Hubby and I are going to Pittsburg next month. I will have to check this out. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium is a good deal. 2 attractions for the same admission price.
DeleteSeahorses are fascinating, aren't they? Especially the giant ones.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the aquarium was so crowded; but you managed to get a bunch of good phtoos, CJ. Aquarium lighting is very hard to shoot in.
I could go for a nice cool lemonade right now ;-)
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
I'd never seen the large seahorses before. Really mesmerizing.
DeleteIt was crowded because it was a cool place to visit! (see what I did there....snort!) Did you just discover Arnold Palmers? I love them! :D
ReplyDelete:-D Yes, I saw what you did there! No, I didn't just discover Arnold Palmers. Some restaurants up here haven't caught up. I bought a bottle and then figured I could make it cheaper myself. Water, tea bags, and frozen lemonade.
DeleteI loved the mental image I got of crowds of people in the aquarium as "salmon swimming against the current". The aquarium looks interesting and beautiful. Lemonade sounds like a good follow-up to that trip :) Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteThe aquarium had some interesting exhibits. And the lemonade was a refreshing treat on such a hot day
DeleteWhat a wonderful place you visited. Aquariums are always lovely, and even better on hot days! Your refreshing drinks look wonderful. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt would have been lovely in the cool and dark except every family in the Pittsburgh area decided to visit the zoo and aquarium that day. Was just as hot inside with all the people as out.
DeleteSorry about that, crowds are always a bit disturbing.
DeleteThe starfish and anemones are so pretty in your photograph but the stars of the show to me would be the seahorses, wonderful creatures.
ReplyDeleteThe lemonade looks so refreshing. Hope you managed to enjoy some of it.
I agree about the seahorses. just gorgeous.
DeleteThank you for taking me to the aquarium. (A shame it was so busy). Aren’t those jellyfish beautiful (behind glass) in the purple light.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I too am forever forgetting to take pictures when we go somewhere. You’re not alone.
Happy T Day,
Lisca
Sometimes you just want to be in the moment or you suddenly remember you need a picture when your food is half eaten and not pretty looking :-D
DeleteWow, I loved the photos you shared from your trip to the aquarium. The sea horses looked amazing, lovely colours, I've never seen any, only in photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
the large seahorses were my favorites. Loved the colors
DeleteI love aquarium visits! Thanks for letting us tag along.
ReplyDeleteAnytime
DeletePS If I'm not misremembering, the oldest woman who just died at 117, liked to do calligraphy:)
ReplyDeleteI think I saw something about that.
DeleteOH WOW! I would love to visit this place!! COOOOWELLL!
ReplyDeleteI Love aquariums! What fabulous photos especially of the seahorses. Lovely! And iced lemonade sounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteSorry I am late. :)
