T Stands for Bubble Tea

When we order Chinese food from Star Dumplings, I like to get a special treat. Bubble Tea.  It's a tea base (green tea, I think), flavoring, and chewy, tapioca pearls (the bubbles). The beverage is served cold.

I think it's supposed to appeal to children as it is served in a plastic cup with a happy elephant.

Usually, I get Coconut Milk Tea, but this time around I chose Honey Dew.

Have you ever tried Bubble Tea?

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. Gosh CJ, I always learn something new each T Tuesday, and this is one of the things I learned today. I've ever heard of bubble tea, much less tried it. I somehow doubt it has made its way to the midwest (grin). However, I am SO grateful that you introduced me to bubble tea during T this Tuesday.

  3. I have heard of bubble tea, and seen it, but I am not a friend of tapioca, to put it mildly, so I'm glad you enjoy but I'll stay away! Happy T Day, Hugs, Valerie

  14. I've heard of bubble tea but never tried it. I didn't realize what it was made from, but I would like to try it sometime. I saw on the national news that you really got rain down your way. We had some severe storms and rain but not the flooding I saw in parts of Worcester. Hope you stayed nice and dry. It was a good afternoon for a long nap for me. Hugs-Erika

    1. We sure had a gully washer. Saw pictures of cars with water up to the windows on Cambridge St. in Worcester. Knock wood it didn’t get that bad here.

  18. Bubble tea seems to be all the rage. I noticed that our Asian restaurant served it so I ordered it once. I thought they had brought me the wrong thing as I was very disappointed with it. But perhaps I shouldn't give up. Maybe I just need a different flavor ;)
Happy Tea Day a Day Late,
    Kate
