When we order Chinese food from Star Dumplings, I like to get a special treat. Bubble Tea. It's a tea base (green tea, I think), flavoring, and chewy, tapioca pearls (the bubbles). The beverage is served cold.
I think it's supposed to appeal to children as it is served in a plastic cup with a happy elephant.
Usually, I get Coconut Milk Tea, but this time around I chose Honey Dew.
Have you ever tried Bubble Tea?
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
Gosh CJ, I always learn something new each T Tuesday, and this is one of the things I learned today. I've ever heard of bubble tea, much less tried it. I somehow doubt it has made its way to the midwest (grin). However, I am SO grateful that you introduced me to bubble tea during T this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteKepp checking the Chinese restaurants. Maybe they’ll start serving bubble tea ☕️
DeleteGood morning, I have not heard of bubble tea either but sounds like something I would love to try-thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHappy T's 5th birthday
Hugs Kathy
It’s very refreshing
DeleteI have heard of bubble tea, and seen it, but I am not a friend of tapioca, to put it mildly, so I'm glad you enjoy but I'll stay away! Happy T Day, Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI’ll happily drink bubble tea for you
DeleteKind of you. We got served tapioca at school every Monday, 7 long years of it!

ReplyDeleteIt’s yummy
DeleteI've never heard of bubble tea. But I don't follow tea trends except those of the T-party sort. (grin)
ReplyDeleteHappy 5th T-day Anniversary, C.J.! Hugs, Eileen
I think you can only find it in Chinese restaurants

ReplyDeleteHimself doesn't like tea, but took a taste of the honeydew. Said it doesn't taste like tea.
DeleteSounds good except for the tapioca. Never heard of that drink before though. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's not like the pudding.
DeleteYou can have mine! Not a fan of tapioca. :(
ReplyDeleteYou don't know what you're missing.
DeleteI've heard of bubble tea but never tried it. I didn't realize what it was made from, but I would like to try it sometime. I saw on the national news that you really got rain down your way. We had some severe storms and rain but not the flooding I saw in parts of Worcester. Hope you stayed nice and dry. It was a good afternoon for a long nap for me. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWe sure had a gully washer. Saw pictures of cars with water up to the windows on Cambridge St. in Worcester. Knock wood it didn’t get that bad here.
DeleteCJ i have heard of Bubble Tea but have never had it.. My daughter likes it though.. Happy T day Anniversary!!! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteYou should give it a try.
DeleteHi CJ. The T party is over and the names of the players have been thrown in the pot. You will be paired with Eileen. It is up to you to get her snail mail information. Thanks beyond belief for making this a lovely T celebration.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Deletehave heard of bubble tea, but never tried it. I think there are various iced coffee versions too...sounds like lots of sugar, which always tastes great! ;) happy belated T day! ♥
ReplyDeleteBubble tea seems to be all the rage. I noticed that our Asian restaurant served it so I ordered it once. I thought they had brought me the wrong thing as I was very disappointed with it. But perhaps I shouldn't give up. Maybe I just need a different flavor ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day a Day Late,
Kate
I have to look for this! I've never heard of it before! Sounds so good!
