The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. The Young One finalized dates for her visit. She'll be here for Thanksgiving.

2. I had an exceptionally productive Monday starting with a very fun doodle class

3. Play day at Teague's. She sent me home with some frozen, ready to bake giant chocolate chip cookies from Dream Dinners.

4. Only one student showed up in class. It was more like an art play session than a class.

5. Summer temps for Halloween. No cold, no rain, no blizzard. No complaints. Most likely one of the last evenings in the sunroom for the season

How was your week?

  1. Sounds like a thoroughly respectable week. Ours ticked along as usual, no unpleasant surprises but still waiting to be caught out again - not us, so much as our daughter.

  2. My week was busy but good. But I did get to enjoy yesterday's gorgeous weather. It sounds like you had a great week also. You must be excited your daughter is coming home in a few weeks. And I love the new background too. Made me smile! Happy November.

  5. Sounds like you had a wonderful week full of fun and creativity! The doodle class and art session sound so refreshing, and those Dream Dinners cookies must be a delicious treat. As a mother and a carpet cleaner, hearing about such joyful moments reminds me to cherish the little things, even on my busiest days. Thanks for sharing your highlights—enjoy the warm weather while it lasts!

    1. Too much busy-ness will lead to stress. Even on the worst day there's a positive moment. I find it helpful to focus on the good thing that happened.
