Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

This idea came from a Facebook meme:
Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order:me favorite films. A Christmas Carol (1984) George C. Scott, Edward Woodward

I wasn't able to find an online source for this version, if you haven't seen it. Though with the season coming on, maybe it will be shown on one of the stations that shows old television programs and movies.

If this isn't your cup of tea, check out what Kathy in the Ozark recommends.

  1. This is a film I've seen. Not really my cup of coffee, though. Gets shown here every Christmas. Have a great weekend, Valerie

  4. I've never seen this one, but I loved the one with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge. Now HE is my cup of tea.

Not sure I even know who George C. Scott is. Is he the one who played Patton (another movie I never saw)?

  5. IMHO the best Christmas Carol is the one with Alastair Sim. All others pale by comparison. ;)

  6. Thanks and I just went to Instagram and typed in #inktober2018 like you mentioned. Do you realize there are nearly 3 MILLION drawings already and the month isn't even half over? I guess you do, but I can't imagine looking at all those drawings, even though I scrolled through about a thousand looking for your name before I gave up.
