Can you see? The only leaves that have fallen are in my yard.
The tree in the Leaf Lady's yard showing some beautiful color
Ink o'lantern and the Count
A new Halloween garden flag
and the garden flag company also had these washers so the garden flag won't blow away
Coming around the corner, I surprised Corolla.
Himself saw Corolla nibbling the Heavenly Blue morning glory leaves. All the energy of the plant has gone into making leaves. It's so heavy it's about to topple over.
Someone tiptoed through the mushrooms
Another variety. Uncle Mario knew how to tell whether wild mushrooms were poisonous or good to eat.
More trees in the wood beginning to color
Rain total this week.
Sunday morning temperature.
Even Mr. Jellybones is shivering. No tea in the sun room this morning.
How does your garden grow?
WOW 39°! I'm jealous! They keep promising our temps will go down to the 80's....soon.....I'm still waiting! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll trade!
DeleteI love that Halloween garden flag! You're getting good color and fall temps -definitely too chilly for sun room or patio. That's more like our winter temps. It would be fun to be able to identify mushrooms in the wild to eat, but I'm a coward. I get a kick out of your resident rabbit. It's fun to have regular wildlife :)
ReplyDeleteIt's 70 F here with a high today expected of 75. We had a bit of rain last night and through the night. Still no tree color, but my fall sunflowers are blooming, and we've had a blue jay pair visiting.
I love your garden posts :)
I'll take your winter temps. Ours can go below zero. I love all the garden critters. Himself teases me and calls me Snow White as I talk to them. Only difference is the critters don't come in and clean my house like the did for Snow.
DeleteIf you get your critters trained let me know. Boy, do I have jobs for them ;)
DeleteI do like your Halloween garden flag.
ReplyDeleteWe have too many fallen leaves - it's that time of year!
The colours are nice though :)
All the best Jan
I'd trade the color for warm temps.
DeleteWe were at 39 degrees this morning too. And we had no leaves down until we had that rain and wind at the end of last week. So we now have bare trees, totally green leaves on the oaks and some colors. Love seeing your photos! Hope it was a good weekend. Hus-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe wind and rain took down the maple leaves. Black birch are slowly dropping their yellow leaves. The oaks won't lose their leaves until Thanksgiving.
DeleteCool new holiday decorations! Love the Ink and the Count one. I love to see pics of your garden, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, my Lady
DeleteFun pics! Pretty leaves. How did they all end up in your yard?
ReplyDeleteThe maple in the front decided it was time to drop leaves. None of the maples in neighbors' yards have dropped.
DeleteYour garden is looking good. We had a really hot weekend here, like in summer, and still no sign of rain or cooling off. But is was great for walking and I enjoyed scrunching through the fallen leaves everywhere. Have a great week, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI'll be longing for the Summer temps. Temps are now seasonable and on Wed. or Thurs. we'll get a taste of cold temps as a front moves through. A reminder that Winter is coming.
DeleteI have a flag that is a bit like your Halloween flag. when the wind blows, it nearly blows it away. I'm going to get a washer and see if that works. I'll be moving mine inside soon, though.
ReplyDeleteYou suggested I mow your leaves. I would run a lawn mower over them and produce much needed and appreciated mulch, which is FREE and degrades in your lawn in winter.
LOVED the decorations. Ink o'lantern looks fabulous.
Whoever thought to use a rubber washer to keep the garden flags from blowing away is a genius.
DeleteYour skeleton made me laugh! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think that is a brilliant idea for the flag and the rubber washer! I stopped using my sign flag, because they would blow off! Your Ink O'lantern is adorable!! Take Care CJ!
Go find a rubber washer and let your flag fly
DeleteI'm going to! Thanks!
