Five good things that happened this week.
1. Getting real chilly at night in the sun room. Found the two space heaters didn't blow the fuse. Trying to hang on out there a little longer
2. Reggie Ezell used my homework piece from his year long class, 26 Seeds, (with permission) for an article on spacing published in Letter Arts Review. Ben Dover got a full page!
3. Heard from an old friend from Australia
4. I didn't feel like cooking dinner so we went out to eat and then to a movie. Saw First Man.
5. Made plans with Nan to attend the Masscribes Not In My House You Don't event on 8. Dec.
How was your week?
Your week sounds like fun. My week was good, was out and about a lot, and time went by much too quickly! Enjoy your weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis month is going by so quickly
DeleteAnd the Red Sox won! I was in bed before 12...11:50 yay! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay, for the win! Yay, for getting to bed a little earlier!
DeleteIt was a good week for me. Not as exciting as yours, but it was spirit week at school and I got to wear comfy clothes most days we everyone dresses up for the different themes. And today I am playing hooky with the hubby so we can celebrate our 30th anniversary which was Monday. So today is my highlight. Congrats on getting some creative lettering mentioned in an article. And like Nan said-hurrah for the Sox. Let's hope we can continue some winning for 4 more games. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Enjoy your day off
DeleteIt sounds like you had a pretty good week. How cool is that about your article being used? That is so great!
ReplyDeleteDinner and a movie is always a fun idea! It is getting much cooler here as well the past week or so.
Enjoy your weekend!
I knew my homework piece was going to be included in the article as Reggie contacted a couple of months ago to ask if he could use the Ben Dover photo. It was a surprise when I got a copy of the magazine to see Ben got a full page!
DeleteCongrats to you and Ben Dover! Another good week! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteMore time in the sunroom sounds like the _best_ thing :) I've seen trailers of First Man, and it looks like a good movie, maybe even especially good for those of us who remember it. Congrats on having your piece used!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was going to be on the same lines as The Right Stuff, but it was more of a talking heads movie. Pleasantly surprised how good it was.
DeleteCongrats on being used in the article! How exciting! We haven't turned on our heat yet, but I think very soon! Dinner and a movie! Perfect! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe heat has been coming up early in the morning before we get up to start the day. It's stayed pretty warm so haven't had to run it during the day. Have had to use the space heaters in the sun room. Not sure how much longer we'll be able to stay out there.
DeleteSorry I am once again late. I got sick and didn't know which end it was coming from next. I feel better now, and it looks like your week was far better than mine. Great news about you and Ben, too.
ReplyDeleteI remember my professor who worked at NASA during that time, telling us about Armstrong. One story I remember was how he had to ball up so they could make a seat for him. He kept doing it over and over until he felt like he got it right. They finally took the mold and it apparently fit like a glove. So glad you got to see the film.
