How Does Your Garden Grow?

The Easter Bunny has been visiting this week.

Mama Cardinal has been sitting on her nest. If you look closely, you can see her. Look 1/3 of the way up, just past the center, and you'll see an orange dot. That's her beak. She leaves the nest a couple of times a day, but I haven't quite timed it so I can get a picture of the inside of the nest to see how many eggs she laid.

Thursday. Red sky in the morning. Sailor take warning. It's been raining on and off since.

The daffodils don't seem to mind the rain.

A crop of day lilies

Snowball bushes ready to avalanche

Buds on the Japanese maple

We've had so much rain, the ground can't support the rain gauge.

The forsythia bush popped this week.

Himself gave me a New Guinea Impatiens for Easter.

Happy Easter, Happy Passover, and Happy Sunday

  1. Your garden is doing well, spring is there at last. We need rain here, so now I need to go out and water my balcony garden. Happy Everything, Valerie

  2. We have had much the same as you I think. Rain on and off all week long save for one day I believe. Today it is also supposed to rain - gee, something new for a change, eh? ; - P

  6. It looks like spring there :) It's good to see the daffodils, which are long gone here, and all the other seasonal delights. Cardinal nest joy! We have had young cardinals visiting our feeder, which tickles me no end :) Happy Easter!

    1. I haven’t been able to get a peek inside the nest to see eggs or young. Birder sites say it only takes about 2 weeks before the little birds are kicked out of the nest. Mama will fly off to another site to build another nest. She won’t use this one.
