The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Arrived home from the retreat. Tired, but safe and sound.

2. Went out to lunch before running errands with Himself. Any excuse not to cook. I'm enjoying his semi-retirement.

3. Spent a glorious afternoon in the sun room working on my travel journal

4. Dragged Himself and the Young One to see a special 10th anniversary showing Of David Tennant's (My Doctor, the 10th Doctor) final Doctor Who episode, "The End of Time" on the big screen.

5. Had breakfast with the friends I met when the Young One was in elementary school. Lots of fun catching up.

How was your week?

  1. Sounds like a very good week, with Dr Who as the crowning moment. Have a nice day, Valerie

    1. Doctor Who was one of the high points of my week. I'm not sure Himself or the Young One felt the same 😺

  2. That Dr. Who must have been great to see on the big screen. And isn't it funny how those friends we make when our kids are younger are the ones we keep better in touch with rather than the ones we meet when they are older. OK, so maybe that is not true for anyone but me. Sounds like a good week. Happy gorgeous Friday. hugs-Erika

    1. I never made friends with school moms when the girlies got bigger. I think everyone was just too busy. I meet up with these moms a couple of times a year. They both work for their town school system so we meet during school breaks. They've come to be really good friends.

  3. You had a busy week! I'm just trying to stay dry and keep out all the critters trying to get in out of the rain! :-/

  4. The 4th doctor is "my" doctor :) Seeing one on the big screen is quite the treat, isn't it! :)

    1. My MIL loved Tom Baker, too. It was fun seeing the movie on the big screen.

  5. We missed Dr. Who in a Fathom Events? Noooo. We love David Tennant and Matt Smith and Peter Garibaldi. Jodie Whitaker killed Dr. Who for me. Hope she leaves.
    You had a great week!

    1. Yup, a one time only event. Peter Capaldi. Garibaldi united Italy 🇮🇹 😉 I’m disappointed with The 13th Doctor, but don’t blame Jodie Whitaker. She’s a good actress, but her writers have written horrible stories for her. She needs writers like Mark Gatiss, Chris Chibnail

  6. It sounds like you had another nice week. I used to watch Doctor Who, but then I lost track of it. I just read in the news that the UK had major power outages right around their 5pm rush hour time today, so I'm wondering if anyone in the T gang was affected.

    1. It was a very good week even if it went by so quickly

  9. David Tennant was the ONLY Dr. I ever watched. All the others paled in comparison and I only watched the first of some of them. To see David Tennant on the big screen would have made MY week!!!

You said I could buy the stamps at USPS.com. I realize that, but I don't buy ANYTHING online, so if I can't get it at my PO, I guess I won't get it. I have a thing about buying online. If I want something and can only find it online, I let Scott order it for me. His computer has electronic condoms. Mine doesn't.

    All the best Jan
