Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

This idea came from a Facebook meme:
Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order:me favorite films. 2. I remember this film - it was a bit scary, hate the thought of burning books. Have a great weekend, Valerie

  3. The book was better ;) But I liked the movie, too, and see the real-life world getting much too close to that fictional world for comfort.

    1. I liked both. And I was just thinking this morning that some of these sci-fi movies are becoming fact. Scary, indeed. Also I believe there was a remake of this movie though I haven't seen it.

  4. GREAT movie! Should be required watching in schools on the detrimental effect of censorship.

    1. That would be great, if some of the school districts haven't banned this book, yet.

  5. I've never seen this movie, CJ, but I read the book. Bradbury is one of my favorite authors. This has become even more symbolic in this day of social media and instant "tweets." Video games and movie choices like Hulu and Netflix remind me of the "wall." Now you know why I don't join those other social media sites. I fear Bradbury's science fiction will soon become science fact. Get out those matches and flamethrowers.

  6. I remember being at junior college when the movie was shown in the student center area. I remember thinking it was scary at the time.

    1. It's because you're so young 😺 This movie is based on the novel by Ray Bradbury. And though it was written as sci-fi, in today's climate it's almost becoming fact. A remake was done a couple of years ago, but I haven't seen that version.
