How Does Your Garden Grow?

Dedo and his faded hydrangeas

A mushroom that looks like a tiny, beach umbrella

The ferns are back. I had pulled these out a the beginning of the Summer

A beautiful sunset

The zucchinis are spent

A few tomatoes left

A pear-shaped cucumber

And the pepper that never grew

How does your garden grow?

  2. My garden is right there with yours. I had one zucchini that started, only to go back a couple of days later to see it rotting and no bigger. Stick picking a few tomatoes but the peppers look finished. No a veggie year at all which surprises me considering how well the flowers grew. And it is cold this morning. A portent of things to come. Happy rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika

  3. I always hated to see the garden dying and knowing that after Labor Day summer was over.....it's too short in the NE! :(

    1. Other years, the bush was heavy with blooms. The few blooms I got are pretty. Seems lots of people in town are having the same problem healthy leaves and none to a couple of blooms

  6. I would GLADLY take your ferns. I would love to have ferns in my shady yard, where they would do well. Your garden looks better than mine, that's for sure. Mine is now dead, dead, dead. And it's raining again. No wonder nothing is growing in my yard, while yours is still going strong (except for the veggies).

  8. I think your garden look great.

If you have any zucchini/courgette left they do taste great in a Roasted Autumn Vegetables dish, with added crumbled Lancashire (or similar) Cheese.

    All the best Jan

    1. Himself picked the last and made your Rainbow Ratatouille which he froze. He really liked that recipe. 😊

    2. Oh, and we had to pick the last because our area was being sprayed because mosquitoes tested positive for the EEE virus.4 people in the state have become ill and one woman died. We didn't want to take chances with the veggies.
