How Does Your Garden Grow?

Some wind and rain and you'd never know the lawn guy had cleared all the leaves.

The bunny wasn't too upset when I opened the screen to take pictures.

A late bloomer

Hmm, since they sprayed the area for EEE, I wonder if the last of these are any good? Looks like we'll just leave them on the vine

Lots of color across the street

Heavy wind and rains knocked down the morning glory trellis

  1. Your garden still looks good, but wise idea not to risk eating the tomatoes after they sprayed for EEE. I don't know whether or not they've done any spraying for it here in CT. The rabbit is adorable. (I'm still behind on visiting. I hope to catch up next week.)

    1. I think the spraying is done here. Everyone is waiting for the first hard frost and the threat will be gone until next year

  2. We didn't get the heavy rains. Just some light sprinkly drops. Everything sure looks like fall now, doesn't it? We haven't had any town EEE spraying but the mosquitoes have shown up in a few NH towns. Happy weekend. Hope yours is going well. Hugs-Erika

We finally got rain. It had been forever.

    1. Not the first time the trellis blew over. Won’t be the last either

  7. i'm sad when gardens go to sleep but then as that is heading towards a deep sleep the trees bloom once again with their fall colors. I read that fall is like a second spring - to me it definitely is - i can't stay home because i'm always out looking for color - ...and you have it on your street - beautiful. happy sunday.

  8. It seems like every day when I water my plants, I am bitten by a mosquito. I'm hoping it doesn't have the EEE, since we don't seem to have had anyone die of it this year. However, I know when it was so rainy this spring, the county was talking about spraying the entire county for regular mosquitoes.

Your yard looks much better than mine, even with the wind. Late bloomer was fun to see.

    1. We have been advised until a killing frost to take precautions for the mosquitoes. Bug spray with Deet, long sleeves, and long pants.

    2. Oh wow. We've had two hard freezes. I wonder if all those pesky mosquitoes have now bitten the dust. I got bit by SOMETHING yesterday while mowing. I guess it wasn't a mosquito after all!
