The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1.  Ran errands to get a Mr.  Long arm extension pole to be used with a hard, foam pad to rake snow off the solar panels. Recommended by the electrician

2. Skyped with the Eldest

3. While Himself watched the Super Bowl, I watched Kiss of Death, Richard 😻Widmark's film debut.

4. Medical and dental appointments went well with no issues

5. Nasty, slippery weather and we didn't have to go anywhere.

How was your week?

  1. Tat extension pole sounds good. Richard Widmark sounds better that Super Bowl. Hope the nasty weather is soon over! We've got a big storm on it's way here! Valerie

  2. Sounds like another good week. I heard about this movie from you or one of the other T-Gang members awhile ago, I think. It was very good.

Once again, I got lucky where I am in CT, as did most of CT, except for the northwest corner, yesterday morning. It was rain, instead of the freezing rain and sleet they originally forecast. But the next week seems to be up in the air. I see a lot of rain/snow forecasts on NOAA. :-(

Sunday is the Full Snow Moon, and I found out a park in New Haven is having a "Moon Walk" but I don't know if I'll go. (They're hiking to the highest point in the park, to see the Full Moon and a view of the city itself.) Which also reminds me, Mercy by the Sea, in Madison, CT, has Full Moon Labyrinth Walks, but it looks like they don't start until May. Darn. (Sorry to babble on about the Moon. I find it a fascinating subject.)

    1. Most likely the movie choice was from me. The Moon Walk and Labyrinth walks sound fun. Will you take Teddy with you?

  3. Snuggled down at home is the best! Especially in nasty, slippery weather! Good for you! :D (PS Good movie choice, too!)

    1. I don't move during bad weather. You had some pretty hairy weather your way, too?

  4. Victor Mature and Brian Donlevy, too. Widmark made an excellent psychopath, didn't he! I love the Batman connection in that performance. I'm glad you didn't have to get out ion your bad weather. And I'm glad your medical checks went well. Yours sounds like a good week!

    1. Widmark should have won the Oscar for his performance. Not just a nomination.

    2. Yes. It's amazing looking back at how many Oscar choices were misses.

    2. you are welcome to but right now some snow flakes are falling - (really truly ...not just saying this because my house is a mess and I don't want company;).. actually they fell for about 2 minutes and stopped but it's just the very beginning edge of the storm. i just want to keep power on and I'll be happy. (Not sure you have mailed anything yet but just letting you know if you have I haven't received anything and the reason I am telling you this is because my sister has sent me things before and the post office loses them or whatever and it takes 2 weeks sometimes to get something )...didn't want you to think i haven't mentioned anything....

  6. Sounds a good week … we've had a good one :)
It included celebrating a family members birthday, so a nice gathering and meal was enjoyed.

We will probably have a quiet weekend, especially with the storm they are forecasting!

    All the best Jan

PS Many thanks for your comment with additional information on my recent Valentine's post :)

  7. I had to go out in that bad weather 2 days. The problem when you drive to the coast to work but don't live at the coast. I won't miss that at all! Sounds like a good week. Hope your weekend is good and stay warm. Hugs-Erika

  8. All I can say is, besides the long arm sounding like such a good deal, you sure missed a GREAT football game on Sunday. A real nail biter!

  9. Your #1 made me laugh, kinda!
I want a Mr Long arm, too!

Huuhhh, dental.... huhhhh, great it went well, I should go, too (but nothing hurts, and yes, I know...)

Week was good, fit-wise. I use a stamp now in my calendar for every time I hit burning 2000+ calories. Stupid, eh, but it pushes me.

    1. The stamp is a great idea. It's those little things that keep us motivated
