The Friday Five Good Things


Five good things that happened this week

1. Got 3 "meals" from the first  zucchini of the season. Sautéed some, spiralized some for a casserole, and made Flo's zucchini bread

2. New phone and Apple changed their lightning cord to a USB C. The new phone came with the cord, but didn't come with a plug. The new phone doesn't have the right goesinta for the plug or USB car jack. Why Toyota can't use Bluetooth is beyond me. Anyway, the Young One  found the right size dongle adapter. And in blue!

3. While cleaning, I found a dollar on the floor

4. Today is day 3 of another heatwave!

5. We got an invitation to the Grand-Nephew's first birthday at the end of the month.

    Find a dollar, pick it up, all the day you´ll have good luck - Friday 13th always was my Mum´s happy-lucky day :-)

    Hot here since yesterday! We´ll be off to the city soon, there are carousels!

    Congrats on the new phone. Did you get a 12? I don't know if they are still selling any other version that's why I ask. I will be glad for this heat to end. It is too hot, like being wrapped in an electric blanket turned on high. But I would take a bit of it in the cold of winter. Sounds like you had a great week CJ.       Yes, there are still older model iPhones available. Respite coming tomorrow from the heat. Hang in there.

    I once found a twenty dollar bill in an old winter coat hanging in my closet! I felt like I had won the lottery! lol ;)

      Wow! I don't think I've ever found more than a few coins and dust in a coat pocket.

    I'd like to find some cash on the floor; all I ever get is cat fur times two .....heat relief is on the way; west to east ...we cool down, then you ...the humidity yesterday was intense....UGH ~~~~~~☺☺♥♥

    You had a VERY lucky and good week, CJ. Here it was Day 6 of temps that exceeded the 100 F degree mark. I'm SO ready for autumn or at least cooler weather. My AC works day and night with no reprieve. And the smoke from the western fires added to the heat, make it difficult to be outside for any length of time at all.

    Glad your daughter found a thingy to connect to the thingamabob. Don't you just love my technical terms? Hope the rest of the week is as fruitful, so to speak as this has been.

    Sautéed zucchini? Yes, please :) I need a few more phone cords, but when I looked at Target the price was so high! I only need the cord, not every attachment made lol Lucky find. A dollar is better than the dust and paper scraps I tend to come across.

      Finding the dollar was a complete surprise. The most I’ve ever found was a quarter.
