I combined techniques from three of the Workshop Week 2021 workshops to create this journal page. Draw Your Day in Shapes with Samantha Dion Baker, Creative Journaling with Amy Tangerine, and Learn to Sketchnote with Emily Mills.
Follow the grey path to see how I spent my day. I really enjoyed these workshops especially the sketchnoting. I borrowed the cloud-shapes from sketchnoting to make the draw your day in shapes.
Capturing the day in pictures reminds me of our dear friend, Eileen's planner from The Artful Crafter In memory of Eileen, how many beverage cups did you find?
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
Fantastic journal page, you should link to AJJ, it would be perfect! I think I saw 7 beverages! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI think you’re counting a clay pot and the blender.
DeleteWow, what a fabulous journal page! The cloud design arrangement reminds me of a "mind map" and your writing and illustrations are amazing - love it 😁. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteA bit like a mind map
DeleteLove everything about this post. So cute and clever🥰
ReplyDeleteThank to you pointing me to Workshop Week

DeleteWhat a great journal page!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Thanks
DeleteWhat a cool idea and sweet memorial :) I was never good at counting her cups lol Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI was never good at counting her cups, either
DeleteNow I would give the sketch note page an A+++ CJ. I love this. Too bad I am not teaching any more because this is what the kids needed to do. (The upper level kids would do this, but the not so scholarly ones-the ones that never came when we had to teach online in spring of 2020, would never do this much.Smile). I noticed Valerie said you should link this to Art Journal Journey. You absolutely should. I will look for it later-smile. Have a great rest of your T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteMaybe this technique would make the learning more fun for the not so scholarly ones.
DeleteVery interesting idea....except if I did it it would be one big blank page! LOL :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Little Robin and Throcky would have some ideas
Deletethis is super- a creative and fun page for sure! And Eileen would have loved this and done a page like it too...
ReplyDeletehappy T day!
I always enjoyed Eileen's planners and trying to count the cups.

DeleteI counted five cups. Actually, one looked like a glass near your computer. This is a really unique way to share a day in your life with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
ReplyDeleteYup, count the beverage cups. The tumbler by my computer was the smoothie I made. 5 is correct
DeleteThis is amazing, what a good idea.
ReplyDeleteLove the detail on your page :)
All the best Jan
I love this technique
DeleteOK, now this is seriously cool. I love the art of it and a way to keep memories.
ReplyDeleteI love the technique, too, though I don't think I could do it at a lecture
DeleteAmazing journal page! I loved it. Wonderful Post! Have a great day!

Glad you enjoyed it
DeleteI need to take those classes because this is soooo fun! Your day (especially the food and classes) looks and sounds amazing! Love the cloud shapes and your sketches are all very cool. GREAT post CJ, happy T-day a bit late!
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun visual record whether you use it for journaling or note taking
DeleteThis is a great page! I think I found 5, perhaps 6 beverages.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of those shapes. I reminds me of mind mapping I used to do when I was studying. I used to love doing these mind maps and I would learn as I went along and at exam time I would visualize the mind map and all the colors and shapes and i would usually remember all the points I would have to make and expand on.
Salmon for dinner sounds nice.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
5 cups is correct. I like the technique. For note taking it's really helping me to remember what went on in a class.
DeleteLove your day in the life journal page, it was fascinating to look at. I think I could find 4 cups? Happy T Day Elle xx
ReplyDeleteShort by one
DeleteSo cool! Well done CJ! Big Hugs!
