Erika had asked to see the completed Brush Lettering Sketchnote journal spread. I really like this technique for notes. I can easily see and remember the lesson. I wish I had known this technique when I was in school.
This came out super CJ. I think sketchnotes are a good way to learn and remember, as you demonstrated. And I wish we adults could get kids (especially teenagers) to realize these kind of skills are good for life. But I am also sure that adults have been saying that for time eternal. Stay dry! Sounds like it is going to be a nasty day.
It's hard to get young people to accept the fact that you retain information better when you write it down than you do just saving information electronically. Yup, nasty day. Doesn't sound like Sunday/Monday will be much better.
I didn't learn calligraphy in school. I fooled around with pen and letters. People complimented me on my penmanship. So I started out self-taught. It wasn't until I was a middle-aged adult that I took classes at the local art museum. Learned that I didn't know that much and spent time unlearning bad habits 😺
I am so impressed with this style of note taking. I think it works so very well for you because you draw so well. I was really in awe looking at these two pages. Just amazing.
Interesting approach. I can imagine the brain keeps the infos much better this creative way! Why didn´t we learn this at school?! Do you have a link? I´f like to introduce this to my Nieces.

You can find lots on YouTube by searching for Sketchnoting. This is a bit of the workshop I took:
DeleteHow To Do Sketchnoting Even If You Can't Draw
Wow! I can actually see how this would help memory and help make connections.
ReplyDeleteCool technique, isn't it?
