How Does Your Garden Grow?

Himself's twig is now over 20 feet tall and has enormous leaves. We thought this tree was a black birch but Plant Net has identified it as a white ash.

Jewel weed stretches up to the woods.

Heath aster making a pretty border

While the petunias out front are spent, by the greenhouse they are still going strong.

Audrey II and Audrey IIa have filled the entire greenhouse

Somebody has been tasting the zucchini with a nibble from each.

  1. The weather has made it an odd gardening year. Still waiting on my tomatoes. I have never heard of midnight snacking tomatoes, cool. Your hydrangea is looking good. Enjoy the beautiful day. 🥰

    1. The Midnight Snacking tomatoes are the size of cherry tomatoes. They start out black and when ripe, the bottoms become a reddish-black

  2. Thanks for identifying the heath aster for me. I have some growing and hope they spread to where I want them too. (Smile, like that will happen.) And I am so impressed with your veggies in your greenhouse. You have some beauties. Have a great Sunday. It is going to be a nice day, even if it not as sunny as yesterday. Hugs-Erika

    1. Goldenrod isn't the culprit. It's the ragweed that grows next to and around it that cause allergy problems

  4. I am in awe of your garden and especially the plants in the greenhouse. My herbs are starting to look rather sad, too. In fact, several are ready to be put out of their misery.

I'm truly in awe of your hydrangeas. Such a wide variety of colors in a single plant. Stunning tomatoes I've never heard of before. You are rocking these veggies, or at least himself is.

    1. The hydrangea is making a comeback. There were a couple of years all it produced was leaves and no flowers. There were years when there were so many blooms on it.

  5. OMG.
I read "wig" - LOL!!! What kind of a Hippie do you have there?! Hups, read again (Monday early morning). Good start with a laugh.
You have eggplants, wow. I hope my strawberry-babies just "make" it.
    Love the flag!
Oh, can´t summer last forever? At least this time as we had but days?

    1. Glad I could make you laugh. I wish Summer could last, too, with sunny days and not rain, rain, rain.

    1. The entire property is a little over 1 acre and about half that is wooded. There's a lot of space, but it's weedy and bordered by the woods.
