This was the chicken breast I was preparing for Sunday dinner. Look at the size of the thing! This is one chicken breast. One! Weighing in at a whopping 25 ozs. That's enough meat to feed 4 people. This isn't even a whole chicken! Can you imagine what this creature must have looked like walking around? What are they feeding chickens these days?
There's my ice tea and lemon I was sipping while preparing the meal, and my tea kettle at the back of the stove. I dumped some bottled Italian salad dressing on the chicken. A quick and favorite recipe given to me by a friend at my bridal shower a million years ago.

Godzilla, LOL, oh, how weird!
ReplyDeleteNow this must be a real yummy meal.
Bridal shower... I think we don´t have that here.
Happy T-Day and I hope you don´t get stomped by a giant chicken!
Thinking about the size of the chicken is frightening.
DeleteWas it a chicken or a chickenosaurus? The mind boggles! Happy T day! Valerie
ReplyDeletethat's it, Valerie, it must have been a chickensaurus!
Delete😺
That chicken breast is huge, we have some big ones here but not that big, we usually have one between us.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day
Jan
This one made 4 servings!
DeleteHoly cow! Iris is right! It must have been a Godzilla of a chicken! 😳
ReplyDeleteSomeone should make a movie about the chicken that destroyed some city 😺
DeleteWe get chicken breast that big too. It is frightening to thing how big the chicken was and what farmers did to make them that big. I am sure it was tasty. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteScary, but delicious
DeleteI can't begin to believe one chicken could weigh so much and that is just the breast. That was one fat chicken. Thanks for sharing your recipe and your lemon tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
ReplyDeleteAnd there were 5 other chicken breast just as large in the package 😲
DeleteOh my goodness, that is such a huge chicken breast! The chicken itself must have been mahoosive 😀. Wishing you a Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine? 😺
DeleteI'm thinking these chickens don't walk around but stay in cages with food within reach. It's a shame a chicken breast can't be used as one serving. It complicates my life lol
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday!
It makes my life a little cheaper if one chicken breast can make 2 meals for us.
DeleteWow that is a huge chicken breast-those usually cook up nice and moist too. and perhaps left overs which is nice for a second meal
ReplyDeleteHappy T wishes Kathy
Chicken breasts as I buy them are often divided into two parts, so a single chicken breast weighing 25 oz. is large but not that outlandish. Maybe.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Nope, this was one breast. There were 5 others of close to the same size in the package
DeleteThat is a big chicken breast. Almost turkey size. May there is some new breed of chicken that has huge breasts and smaller other body parts. (Boy that sounds a little strange, doesn't it? I can't image how it would look.) Hope you had a nice T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine the size of the legs on this thing?
DeleteYikes!
ReplyDeleteAnd there are 5 more in the freezer!
DeleteThat certainly is a good size chicken breast!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had coronation chicken for dinner today ...
All the best Jan
I'll have to go and look up the recipe
DeleteLarge indeed. Hope it tasted delicious.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
It was very good. Very moist.
DeleteI say they should have continued to let him grow:) Good point to question the feed.
ReplyDeleteThey could probably have put a saddle on him.
DeleteYou are so right - I can't imagin how big that chicken was - kind of scary if you think about it. I love Italian dressing on mine too. Fun share for T-day with your tea glass as well. Happy late T-day!
ReplyDeleteI tried not to think about it while I was eating.
DeleteWow, that's a monster-chicken! The idea with the Italian salad dressing sounds good - and so easy.
ReplyDeleteYup, quick and easy recipe. Just dump on some (cheap) Italian salad dressing and bake.
DeleteYes, that is large! There is one place here in town where I can buy very large chicken breasts, but nothing like that! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen chicken breasts this large before
DeleteWow, that is one big breast! Here in Spain, the chicken breasts are very big too. Double the size I was used to in England. They are between 500 and 550 grams each. Our butcher sells them in one piece. I ask for a chicken breast and I get two breasts still attached to each other. It weighs usually 1000 grams (1 kilo) or 1100 grams.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to be late again, but as I've mentioned before, we are not home on a Tuesday and I can't get to my computer.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
No worries, Lisca. I'm happy that you share some of your time with me.
DeleteThat is scary! Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteScary but delicious! 😺
